Since the T230 is also supposed to support DVT-C, has anyone managed to get their T230 to work by connecting directly to the Starhub cable point? I tried it on my PC but upon scanning, all the channels were either locked or did not show anything. Am staying ard Tiong Bahru

P.S. Even when i used the supplied antenna, i only received locked channels!

Bro, think T230 does not support DVB-C.

Under specifications from Geniatech T230 DVB-T2 Freeview USB Dongle
Fully Compliant with DVB-T2: EN302 755 (v1.1.1, v1.2.1, v1.3.1)
Fully Compliant with DVB-T: EN300 744

DVB-C should be EN 300 429

Oh, i saw the following product description which mentioned support for dvb-c:

Aliexpress.com : Buy Geniatech MyGica Android 4.22 Enjoy TV Amlogic MX Dual Core TV Box Google tv 1080P XBMC media player mini PC TV box ATV520E from Reliable box shape suppliers on Geniatech Mygica Brand store

I think it DOES support dvb-c bec otherwise i would not have detected any channel at all when i only used the starhub point and did not use an external antenna.

Hmm.. you may have to check your software scanning configuration.
e.g. for the TBS stick, have to change "reception type" from "Terrestrial" to "Cable". Then there is "symbolrates" to set also.

Not using.
Is your digital DVB-T Or DVB-T2?
T is the old standard and has 3 SD channels + HD5.
T2 is the new standard and has all the channels with SD and HD.

Understand MediaCorp will eventually stop DVB-T , and make all DVB-T2 channels HD. Can check their website for details.
