With the impending launch of the rumoured iphone 6 in September is it wise to upgrade my phone to 5s or wait for the 6?

My 4s is failing me anytime.

Normally it's announced in September but not launched in Singapore right in September right?

ip6 is at least another 3-4 mths away. if u think ip4 cannot last that long, might as well change now.

Do a full restore and see if it gets better? Really not worth getting a 5S now, 6 should only be 3 months away.

I've tried and it kinda got stuck there for 1 whole day till it ran out of battery.

Apple changes so fast these days that I'm not keen on keeping up these days anymore.

2 more months announcement. then another one month arrive, then queue for stock...so def more than 2 mths
Most people will queue at telco official stores. Many forget about authorised retailers. As a result you see ridiculously long queues outside telco stores with people queuing overnight, while the authorised retailers are swatting flies.

I was with my friend when she went to buy her iPhone 5. We literally camped overnight at M1 Shop at Paragon. To be honest, if she was not a chio bu I'd have left her there liao. :s13: The next day I was at Funan and the authorised M1 retailer on the first floor was EMPTY. I just asked for fun and guess what, they also had the iPhone 5. So why must queue overnight at the telco shop leh?

1) authorised retailer normal do not get stock on the same launch date and only get it around a week later.

2) AR like to charge additional GST which makes them more expensive then telco shops. yes they do it on purpose.

3) they might not have the same freebies given by telco.

4) at telcos, they will open the unsealed box in front of you. anything wrong, you can swap another box on the spot, at AR, YMMV.

anyway, i still prefer buy direct from telco, but queue overnight is a no no.

It is at least a good 2-3 months wait after launch day to get your phone without long queues.

FYI, metal like pen knifes is considered soft material and will not scratch even iPhone 5 screen

But from the tests made on iPhone 6 glass so far, seems like its much stronger than iPhone 5 hehe

The 4.7-inch iPhone 6 display panel might not be made of sapphire after all, after it failed a new sandpaper scratch test. An iPhone 5s Touch ID glass panel, which is made of sapphire, passed the test.

New Video Shows 4.7-Inch iPhone 6 Front Panel May Not Be Made of Sapphire After All

it makes sense if apple goes with a hybrid or composite front panel not made up of pure sapphire. I guess pure sapphire nw still too ex. small small area like touchID sensor still ok.

pure sapphire is definitely cool but I wouldn't want to pay a few hundred dollars more :o

Looks legit, based on all the leaks I've seen so far. I've been an android user from the start, never used an iPhone before but now seriously considering the iPhone 6 since there isn't and most likely won't be an android flagship phone under 5 inch.

My main concern with the iPhone 6 is battery life though.... That's the only weakness I can foresee besides price.

According to a leaked promotional flyer in China, two Apple iPhone 6 devices - a 4.7-inch and a 5.5-inch model - will be hitting retail shelves on September 19. In addition, the 4.7-inch model is priced from 5,288 yuan (approximately S$1,056) while the 5.5-inch variant will start with a price tag of 6,288 yuan (approximately S$1,256). Both retail prices are based on currency exchange rates at press time.
