I LOL at some of these so called tests. There is no impervious material in this universe.

Scratch resistant meaning it can resist scratches causes by normal daily usage. Would a sane person rub sand paper against his phone as part of normal phone usage? Would a sane person use a chisel to chip at his phone as part of normal phone usage? I doubt it.

Its like this issue of "shatter proof". Once again its part of normal daily usage e.g. when you drop the phone as you take it out of your pocket. If some joker decides to drop the phone from the second floor window, that is not normal daily usage. I recall this Youtube video where this moron flung his phone out of the 2nd floor window, found the screen cracked and said Samsung lied about the screen being crack resistant. I was like, dude are you f*cking on drugs or what? :s8:

You drive a tank over your Casio G-Shock and when it breaks, try suing Casio and give your reason as the watch was not shock resistant as it died when the tank went over it. See if that works. :s22:

Nexus 5 at 5 inch but feels smaller or Moto X. Both running stock android

Sorry, I should have mentioned 2014 android flagship phones. Plus both are not readily available in Singapore and it's a hassle, not to mention expensive to buy either one.

Much rather prefer a phone that I can pick up with my contract at a local telco.

most handphone shops in Far east sell either phones. cost 400+ without contract. tats hardly ex when comparing to getting iphone from telco at similar price for lower tier plans. only thing is N5 has no warranty. Moto X has local warranty.

for 2014, u have htc one m8 and s5 for now but they're not really stock android.

Still no Black and Gold... Black one looks nice, tho I don't really like rounded edges, lost the "premium" design feel

Battery life remains to be seen. iPhone 5's batt sucked considering how small the screen is. If its a 5.5" screen I can understand lah but WTH? :s8:

It seems like you know how to count. How about if you count in this manner

iPhone 5s diagonally has a screen size of 4" and bear a 1,570mAh battery. Samsung S5 has a screen size of 5.1" and bear a 2,800mAh battery.

Just simply taking the ratio of battery required to sustain per inch screen assets diagonally.

iPhone 5s would be 1570/4=392.5, while Samsung S5 would be 2800/5.1=549

Would it be more apparently now which phone is more power hungry and need more battery to sustain across the day ? I don't remember that either of each phone is able to sustain a lot much longer than the other.

Given a smaller screen size of 2 phones in similar thickness, I failed to see a rationale argument here talking about screen size with relationship to battery since smaller screen size here translate to less physical space to contain a battery.

Is this really the way you want to make assumption of battery consumption versus screen size ? It seems a bit too trivial and too surface comparing things in this manner, don't you agree ?

Will a 5.5" be too big in a way to fit sleekly into men's pocket without feeling too uncomfortable

Technology is the key. Battery technology to be exact, with improved efficiency and stability. In this case, the energy density to volume ratio within a lithium cell, like what those guys in Stanford are researching now.

5.5 inch is ok if the pant is not tight fitting type.. For Jean, not possible to slots 5.5 inch into front and rear pocket.. Too bag for comfort..
