the pinball game can get chest?
The number indicator in the pinball game, on the left side of the score. Hit the bumpers until it triggers the jackpot spin. Get 2 or 3 matching "wooden plank" icons to earn "chest". Once number hit 90 and above, quit game to get Emerald braclet, stop at 80 and above to get platinum bangle. Google for Ffxv justice monster v rewards for more info...

perhaps FF type 0 too many characters liao so is forgiving LOL

but this only 4 hunks yet ...erm....lol
Need to mention that FF 15 was originally "Final Fantasy Versus XIII", an ARPG spin-off from FF 13 set in the same world. Later it was remolded/rebranded FF15, thus FF15 is ARPG unlike previous entries. Actually now ARPG seems more mainstream as western developers (and gamers) prefer ARPG (I would include hack n slash in that too) over the turn-based that is still popular in Japan.

ARPGs that allow swapping of chars can suffer from character development. Obviously as an RPG there is a story to tell and regardless how many chars you can control during battle the story typically focuses on the main protagonist. If the game allows you to switch chars during battle, it's very likely that you would find another char who's more OP or fighting style suits you more. Eventually you are more invested in that side char than the main, while the story is more invested in the main. From a story telling perspective that's not a good thing.

I think you are mixing up different RPG conventions.

In turn-based RPG, you have to give commands for each and every party member, so you control all chars becos it's turn-based there is time for you to do so. Same for the semi-turn-based, ATB type.

In action RPG, combat is in real time. Most games only let you control one char, the rest of the party are AI, you cannot swap on the fly to control another member.

Unlike previous FF games, FF 15 is the latter. If you know of other action RPGs that let you swap char on the fly during combat, do list them (off the top of my head I can only think of Dragon Quest Heroes and Dragon Age Inquisition).

thought the tales series can swap character to control ?

Anyone know where in SG can I still get the collector's edition guidebook for FFXV?

I just got an email from Book Depository that they cannot fulfil my preorder zzz.

Need to find alternative.

Kind of regretted not getting it when I saw it while collecting the game from the shop T.T

Can't remember liao, thot it's semi-turn-based rather than full ARPG. I remember there's AI rules you can set up for each party member, and you can turn auto-battle on/off for each individually.

if its judging from a fresh angle, the game is good ba
but if viewing from angle of ppl who played ff4 ff5 ff6 ff7 ff8 ff9 ffx.....its abit disappointing ba.

but think square is moving this direction of Arpg liao cause the remake of ff7 seems to be erm erm erm maybe the same type liao

I use type B controls, can hold attack and defend buttons at the same time. Warp strike, attack, run behind mob, attack, warp away, warp strike again...repeat.
To dodge, hold defend button, don't tap. Its not complicated. Action too fast, go menu turn on wait mode and play on easy difficulty...

Actually I didn't think of that so that's not a stupid question at all. I just checked and they're really selling but the price for the hard cover edition is $66 for non members. I can buy online and even get a 12-mth PSN at this price.

Ya kino no stock but they did bring it in at least. Maybe I should have been clearer in my post.

Haha I was desperate so I checked Kino, TOG, Play-E all no stock liao.

But I managed to secure a copy of the collector's edition though from Gamemartz - but at almost double the cost of the book on Book Depository :(

For those keen to purchase you all can try Gamemartz (at Plaza Singapura and Bishan) they still have some copies left but you will need to call them to reserve.
