what is tax exempt and less tax ??

no need to care

just know that nett we take 0.0193 can alrdy and no need to declare and no need to do anything about it during annual tax returns

thought during our income tax time, the dividend received will count toward our total income, ie add on to our other income.

if i'm not wrong....the company that announced the div mostly already paid the tax.
you don't have to pay again.
thus Tax exempted, 1 tier tax.....

don't worry la....I had received div for a few years, no declare and no issues.

unless you have 100 lots or more :D...then maybe it is prudent to check with iras.

I thought like that too, then my mum who work as a broker informed me need to be included in income tax as well. The tax exempted div is exempted from corporate tax you need to pay as in some other countries(sound confusing to me too).

I check and confirm that is the case too (div to be included in income tax), unless I am wrong, so clarify with the bros in here again.

Good point for those who have only looked at the most recent distributions - long-term quarterly distributions will be more like 1.58c rather than 1.92c. The yield of 8%+ is still very good though.
