now the next "bubble" after mini bonds are the junk bonds that banks having been selling to investors

example oxley and perennial bonds

previously they have been borrowing mostly from banks or institutional investors... now is bank dont want to lend them anymore riao and they issue retail bonds to public... let uncle and aunties buy

i still remember during GFC, TT international defaulted on their bank loans and bonds.... the big box at jurong east construction came to a halt

GG max

now after 6-7 years then the big box finally up LOL

Rich dad poor dad is a really powerful book if u grasp the concept
i read it in like 2006 and never looked back

even when i started invest in 2007 and bought stocks, burned myself badly in the GFC....... 8 years on it all still worked out right

always buy assets
avoid liabilities, dont use debt
be frugal, save as much as u can
work for income to build a base/business
mind your own business/put the income into assets
then finally let your assets work for u

there u have it ^_^

always buy assets

Robert Kiyosaki talks about rewarding yourself. So only buy assets to reward yourself? I reward myself by buying more STI ETF? I am happy staring at all the zeros in the bank account and all the shares that I have in my CDP account?

avoid liabilities, dont use debt

On that basis, many business empires in this world would never have been built. Many SMEs would never have started.

I think TTI is still paying off for the Big Box :s22:

But actually the location and property seems ok. Their branding and product range is super fail though. I am hoping Dairy Farm or Capitaland buys the property from TTI.

Location is fine, though I guess people will rather shop at Jem or Westgate instead of walking additional minutes to Big Box

How is the crowd there ? Other than having sales/offers, I don't really see many people ? Got once I went there, very quiet. Early afternoon timing.

Noobie here. Wanna ask all the Old Birds, what you all think of dipping into emergency funds to invest when your war chest is running low?

Hais, since I start putting money in, every free time I spend is to look at the market and all these ideas get into my mind. Got few occasions already, my brain tell me to wait and see, but my hand itchy go do otherwise.

You will always be tempted... Perhaps you need to move this $$ to somewhere less accessible.

Yeah. "Ooh, ah," that's how it always starts. But then later there's running and screaming.

Haha just chill out and check daily before the market closes...better still uninstall the stock market apps

also the avoid debt part more towards not being liable for debt

when doing business, private limited or trust can take on debt
if it doesnt go well, you as a shareholder not liable for it then ok liao
