Harlow all! Hermes noob here! :(
Most Hermes buckles that I've seen have this small logo, think is the trademark logo or something printed next to the Hermes words on the top side of the buckle. This Hermes belt that I'm intending to purchase doesn't have this logo next to the Hermes words, dude told me the logo depends on the model and color of the buckle. The buckle is polished silver and purchased in 2012. Any chance the dude trying to pull a fast one on me?

Thanks for the help guys! :)

hhahj merfy mod haah in the making

Moi not int to be mod, but rastime the F&G mods über firece one, see those regulars in the thread who dun self moderate, they come and close the entire thread without giving chance, the Fred Perry one was closed 2-3 times over the years. All this buggers oni interested to sell their wares and mostly are cronies who don't give a damn if the thread with all the wealth of info are canned. Hiazz

Maybe you want to share who's the seller?

Hmm Darkangle and the rest, with regards to the H buckles, I've seen quite a couple of them. And some do have this 'small logo thingy' next to the Hermes word on the side of the buckle whereas some do not. From my observations at eBay and deluxe mall sellers lohs.

So no 'small logo thingy' or what not next to Hermes word on the side of the buckle = no go and avoid ahs?

Have a nice weekend y'all.

:)

Why not you go to the Hermes boutique and see, or you can ask the SA. That one confirm plus chop.

Quite surprised the seller highlighted that part, usually will just show pictures and hope nobody knows.

You have pictures of the belt?

This is what i meant man. As seen in the gold buckle, there's this 'logo' thinggy right next to the Hermes but whereas in the silver buckles, there isn't. I don't know if I'm missing something here. Hermes fugging noob here :s22::s22::s22::s22:

The little square next to Hermès is the "gold-plated" hallmark and is found on gold-plated buckles. The silver-palladium plated buckles do not have this mark engraved.

Frankly, authenticity cannot be based on engraved markings on the buckle alone. The new 2013 batch of buckles have different engravings on them.

So the Hermes wording is both sides or just one side?

you rather be certain than to buy a fake one right? esp for such an exp thing
