Hmm, are there SONOFF switches which are Tuya/Smartlife compatible?
Sonoff uses eWeLink app and is a separate ecosystem from tuya. They are not directly compatible to each other. Tuya gateway hub or bridge can be used to add sonoff zipbee devices, such as a door sensor etc.

Hi all, I am starting out in my research on home automation, please bear with me as I am still learning and did not manage to search the answer.

I read that it is possible to automate curtains and blinds. It is possible to self-automate ziptrak blinds in case of rain? The quote I got was $600 per set of blinds.

s when someone manually turns on or off, Google home app cannot detect the status change. Otherwise Google commands to turn on or off are fine.
Tuya smart switch allows you to know the status if it is on/off. It also reflects the same in google home.

i used a combination of water sensor and the blind motor for it to work. Not even $100.

Fellows,
I used to do smart home for my old place - used smartthings with some OEM wall switch with neutral wires...
In my new place, i don't have neutral wire so I am looking for good non-netural wire switches...
I actually bought one AQARA switch to try but i am finding a hard time setting it up with smartthings....have anyone done it before and if so, can someone guide me?
I have not used aqara hub before so not sure good or not..? Or is there any other switches that is compatible with smartthings hub that you would recommend?

Aqara to Smartthings requires the correct IDE code and model. Not all Aqara works with ST. You will need to check for the compatibility list if it is inside, you are lucky. If it is not, you have to get the correct model. Got people say if you cannot do IDE, you are better off not doing any DIY. Laugh die me.

Tuya can work with Smartthings without complicated coding, only works on selected model or having the need to edit IDE settings.

I tried the IDE path but it is such a challenge. Added a couple of different device handler but none seems to work properly. I got the new model - qbkg22lm.

It just feels that even if it works, it would be subpar experience. Do you know which model works and don't work for Tuya?

Looking to go with Smartthings for my upcoming home. Yet to start reno so electrical works haven't started. Would like to seek advice on whether I should request for my electrician to pull neutral cable to every socket? Understand that switches come in "no neutral" versions too. Wondering if having the neutral cable is good, and what benefit it brings. Also please feel free to recommend switches... :)

Hi I have a tuya 3 gang light switch used for 2 years, yesterday night I have a power outage, after I went to flipped back at the switch board, one of my lights just turn on which is connected to L3. I have tried to unsync the switch, sync the switch, I just cannot turn off the L3 lights but no issue with L1 and L2. The switch light indicator itself can show the on and off all L1L2L3. The only way to off my L3 lights is at the switchboard. What do u think is the problem?

I have done some testing,I on all L1L2L3, then I switch off and on the main power at the switchboard, L1 and L2 remain close but L3 remain on.

It seems the wiring for L3 is bypassing the switch

Anyone have any ideas..

just wondering, anyone installed/using Philips Hue ceiling lights? Was thinking of replacing my non smart lights, mainly lights that are on the ceiling that isn't using spot lights, hence can't replace bulb kind

Mainly in my kitchen toilet study etc.

Is the installation hard for the Hue ceiling lights? Also anywhere got showroom that actually display these ceiling lights? Preparing to hoot come Black Friday or something

Can you share which motor you got please? The normal indoor blinds one will work? Thanks!

The automation (i.e. roll down blinds when water is detected) is done in your home automation hub and the brands of the motor and water sensor should not matter as long as it can be integrated to your automation hub.
