Anyone tried livolo 2 way switch? Working ok?

Hi MaoZeDuo,
sorry nope.only 1-way switches.

seems like many of us our electricians do the 2-way is using 1-wire which is more like the EU standard, so getting the LIVOLO EU type 'in theory' should work.

but den most of us go buy the UK type for 2-way Livolo switches which requires 2-wire(A & B).... den will have issue already.

Hi Epi_curean, i think its difficult to understand is it correct wiring.

Maybe you should post the question back to your electrician to confirm,

for your 2-way 1-gang(1 button) switch, how many wires are there?
1 Live, 1 Neutral, 1 load (total 3 wires)?

for your 2-way 2-gang(2 buttons) switch, how many wires are there?
1 Live, 1 Neutral, 2 loads (total 4 wires)?

Hi All.......reporting in to home automation as i'm looking recently.
Currently i saw a few different bigger brand with their peripherals

1) Xiaomi
2) Samsung
3) LG (compatible appliance with Google Home)

What are the general IOT managed stuff you guys integrate?
I'm seeing the following
1) Light switches
2) Door lock (biometric)
3) Ambience temperature
4) Aircon (any support for non wifi models by adding a receiver/control?)
5) Curtain motor

Does Google home and Alexa comes in to provide just audio control?
If new house. Then install crestron or control4.

not cheap... and basically you are leaving the solution to professional installers. Have $ anything also can be done.

Shouldnt we be talking about tinkering and DIY and sharing the knowledge instead of simply just recommending professional costly solutions?

Asus, u got use xiaomi voice?

Xiaomi Xiaoai is actually already in your Mi Home App, i have tried voice control the lights and vacuum cleaner with success, but this is sg and english is still our 1st language, I prefer english and think most of us here would so i don't really use it...

of course if you want the full blown experience, you can get the yeelight smart speaker which has Xiaoai and Microsoft Xiaobing inside. Right now, its a nay for me

Help with Livolo 2-way switch

Hi guys, I'll be getting a Livolo 3g2w switch. I opened up my current switch to check the wiring. Can you guys advise how do I map these wires to Livolo 2w switch? As I know the terminals in Livolo 2w are L1, L2, L3, L, A, and B.

I think my 2w light wires L1 and L2 should go in Livolo's A and B. And the other two lights' L1s should go to Livolo's L1 and L2. The COM should go in Livolo's L.

If it is setup this way though, I would have an extra COM wire. Also, does anyone know why are the COM terminals connected to each other?

First timer here! Please bear with me if this sounds too basic.

Hi, I suggest you get a licensed electrician because your proposed connection is wrong.

It is dangerous if you do not understand the wiring therefore better to get a professional.

Got it sorted with some help :) Think the electrician that wired my home during the renovation made it a bit confusing.

glad you sorted it out. Yes, it can be very confusing. I switched off the circuit breaker 1st and keep trying until i got it right. The knowledge i got is invaluable.

Anyone installed hardwired smart doorbells like Ring and Hello Nest ? Where did you get the transformer from ?

I am thinking of wiring up Hello Nest and it stated requiring 16V/10VA transformer ( I do not have an existing wired chime to hitch onto , so the wiring will be a start from scratch )

I ordered the ac transformer from rs components part number 230-4073

Used it for skybell and then after that with August doorbell.
