Seriously there's no point trying the beta lol.
Some apps are broken with it.

Huge battery drain.
Phone gets hot really easily.

This is why I let all of you play first. From experience, first beta of new iOS is the worst of them all, its a lesson learnt from 3 previous iOS betas. Plus I get to keep my jailbreak.

Will probably jump in when its in beta 3-4 or when GM is out.

Yep. But we have a couple of spares. So why not haha.
Workaround is to disable location services :|

One question: for any future betas, can we update?

So far beta 1 is quite horrible on 4S. Not much issue on the iPhone 5 but 4S is seeing some significant glitches (like from a folder back to home screen all the icons keep disappearing), lags and battery drain.

next time when the official iOS7 comes out, do we have to restore to 6.1.4 or can we just update from iOS7 beta?

Should be able to update from iOS 7 beta, since for 6.1 beta it went from 6.1 beta 3 -> beta 4 -> beta 5 (GM).

That's why it's still a beta, lots of bugs to be addressed. The final release should be much better.
