I've had same trouble with my retina MBP. Trying to connect to itunes was really pain in the ass as it disconnects and connects repeatedly. Are you sure you're using the original Apple cable?

Anyone using MBA to charge iPhone via USB often encounter the issues of connected disconnected? I am facing this problem despite change of new wire. Direct charge via plug socket no problem. Dunno is it MBA port have issues

It’s not under iCloud settings. You should go to Settings > Photos > iCloud Photo Library toggle switch to off.

ios 11 on iPhone 7

Have been an Android user all the while, with only a iPhone 5s as my 2nd phone a few years back.
I do feel that iPhone is more efficient and snappier.

Two things that have stopped me from changing to iPhone are:
1. File Manager
2. h265 hardware accelerated video playback (Most of my shows are in h265 and also for future proofing, as well as space saving)

and just read about WWDC 2017 they annouced the two things I wanted:
1. "File" App basically a file manager
2. "h265" recording/playback on iPhone 7 and higher

It would be good to know if anyone is already on the developer beta, and if you were once an Android user, maybe can share more about how Apple "file" app is comparable to Android file app. Does that also meant that I can drag on drop to the iPhone like a thumbdrive since there is a "File" app. (Guess this will be not possible, but still holding on to some hope)

For h265 if you have any files to play it can try to report. If not, if you are wiling to do sg, visit http://jell.yfish.us , click show hevc, test the 1080p 8 bit, 4k 8bit, 1080Hi10 and 4kHi10 and report back.
Try it with native video player and vlc player to see if it is hardware decoding or software. Is AC3 audio supported and subtitles supported on the native player?

Thank you very much.

And oh ya anyone have experience changing from s7 edge to a iPhone 7 Plus? Just want to know the battery life. Any rough screen on time?

Thank you very much!

1. File manager is only available for iPad.**wrong
2. Developer beta is still to buggy to handle h265 playback at this point of time..

Edit: File manager is available for iPhone with drag and drop too

I may be wrong about the file manager as that's what I understood from the WWDC livestream. They announced file manager and drag and drop as an iPad function. I am unable to verify if it's on iPhone as I've only installed the beta on an iPad. I'm hoping that we can see it on iPhone as well.

Edit: yep its available for iPhone with drag and drop as well

The file manager is very limited. Don't really expect drag and drop from a computer into the device too quickly like Android.

From what it seems the focus here is for iCloud Drive and external cloud storage management with little on-device file management. I've an iP7 Plus with iOS11 so far it seems very limited. I can't pull files from my iCloud into the device folders BUT i can download it from the cloud and it seems to be cached in the device just not in device folders but under iCloud drive.

Alright, I think as long as I can manage my files wwithin my files in my phone is good enough.

H265 10bit is supported on A9 Chip (iPhone 6s onwards). Rejoice. Though they didn't really state the resolution. Some were speculating 6s only supported h265Hi10 1080p. Whereas iPhone 7 can do 4k.

Info for those who are interested for iPhone h265 playback!

Edit:
A9 can do hardware support up to 10bit where as the rest can at least support software decoding.
