Hi guys gentle note of reminder,

If you are new and die die want to stockpick instead of doing the STI ETF + A35 way, please stick to blue chips and reputable midcaps...boring advice, I know, but no matter how many times the old birds say, our advice always fall on deaf ears.

With that said, please graduate from blue chips and midcaps before you move on to pennies...or at the very least, don't do stupid things like throwing 4 digits of your money in a penny stock...

Relatively new still, I suppose you all will recommend getting blue chips or REITs to collect dividends and slowly build up from there?

for new investors

if your capital under 10k... maybe can start off with dca-ing sti etf for instant diversification

if u got like 20k or higher, can maybe start off with 4-5 blue chips as a good solid base

MasterLeong, should I diversify away my starhill global for more firepower or wait till at least start of Feb when they distribute dividends.

reits are meant to be held for long term dividends

starhill global just hold and collect dividends all the way, the incoming cash just to build new position ba

like that bo bian... just keep holding and collect dividends lor

reits are the easiest to hold in the sense that as you collect dividends your cost of the share becomes lower

can learn from our brother Asphodeli

he holding FCOT going into 8th year and it will become freehold status soon

Actually I got small dream.. to have 1 reit each in each industry..

Retail sg- CMT
Industrial sg - Areit
Office-CCT
DC-Keppel DC
Oversea- FLT & CRCT

That should be good enough for me.. what do you think?

sounds like a decent idea

but maybe start from singapore core economy one first as the base

retail, commercial and industrial are the primary ones

example CMT/CCT/Areit - 3 piece blue chip chicken meal

secondary ones maybe like healthcare, data center, hospitality etc...

these are your fries, nugget, whip potatoes
