Current price implies yield of 4% and 4.4% for FY16F/17F.
We are expecting the group’s dividend payout ratio to
increase to at least 66%, from 64% in FY15, implying a final
DPS of 5.5 Scts (4Q15: 5 Scts) or a yield of 4% (inclusive of
interim 4.25 Scts paid) at current price. With lower capex
needs, we are expecting dividend payout ratio to
conservatively creep up to 66% and 68% in FY17F/18F, and
thus yielding 4.4% and 4.8%, respectively. In the current
climate, CD is one of few companies projected to have an
increase in DPS

for me I factor in grab and uber causing a decline in their taxi biz

taxi biz is only 30% of their earnings, 70% from other areas like bus, train, maintenance, inspection etc
yep 30+%, I was told otherwise

Anyway. Do u know sg taxis is how many % of the taxis contribution?

Geographically sg is abt 60%. I assume sg taxi is abt 18% of CDG earnings?

Hopefully rail and bus and the slightly improved GBP can pull them up :(

I guess around there... so maybe put 20% to be conservative lor

just have rough idea good enough

CDG market price fell 20% from $3.00 to $2.40 level

but I think earnings will not fell 20%... at my worst case expectation is earnings down 5%

however analyst reports I have been reading.. most estimate same or higher earnings for full year 2016

The upcoming Brexit could be another short-term drag on CDG's earnings. Every 10% drop in the Sterling pound will result in roughly 2.3% drop in CDG's revenue and 1.3% loss in operating profits.

MPs have voted in favour of giving the Prime Minister the power to trigger Article 50 and begin the negotiations for the UK to leave the European Union.

The historic vote was passed after seventeen hours of debate by a margin of 498 to 114.

The decision is a major step towards leaving the European Union and keeps in tact Theresa May’s provisional timetable of triggering Article 50 by the end of March, setting motion two years of negotiations with the EU over the terms of the UK’s exit.

Taxis hired out and rental rates. Taxi operations account for
about one-third of the group’s operating profit, with Singapore
operations accounting for the majority. It has a fleet of over
17,000 taxis in Singapore with a market share of 65%. The
hired out and rental rates of taxis has a direct impact on
profitability, while the cost of certificates of entitlement in
Singapore would also have an impact on margins (impacting
depreciation). In the immediate term, we do not expect
significant impact from the private car booking apps, such as
Uber or Grabcar, and we believe that private car hire and taxis
would co-exist over the longer term.

Hoping that Brexit, French & German elections, Fed rate hikes and Trump's crazy antics can keep the market volatility going in 2017.

Mainly just to ride on 3F's lucky pick. Adds a little excitement when I am watching the weekend matches.

If you want excitement, I propose the gooner 4th place fund.

Strategy is simple. Just bet against them for all the crunch matches.

As a start, I think you can place your bet on a Chelsea win vs Arsenal. ;)

No. My betting luck is usually poor. I want to jinx Arsenal. So I will put a tiny bet on an Arsenal win. In fact, I want to jinx Tottenham, Liverpool and Man City too. Placing $5 bets on all of them winning this weekend.
