Hi Community Members,
We’ve been receiving many emails and feedback regarding the reputation points and voucher redemptions.
Some of the good pointers from the feedback given by our users include (but are not limited to):
* The issue of bulk redemptions of vouchers (not evenly distributed among community members)
* The issue of cross-liking comments (especially non stock-related comments) to boost reputation points
* Instances where users join our community solely to redeem vouchers
* Changing the weightage of reputations points for likes on comments and posts
After taking the feedback into consideration, we’ve decided to adjust our reputation redemptions system and impose the following measures:
* A 7 day limit for voucher claims for all users. If you’ve already claimed one voucher, you can only claim again after 7 days.
* A daily limit for rep. points earned from likes on comments (limited to 10 rep. points)
* Voucher redemption function will only be available after 2 months from sign up date.
* The reduction of daily limit of rep.points gained from likes on posts and comments given by each unique user from 8 and 4, to 4 and 1 respectively. This means on daily basis, you can earn a maximum of 4 and 1 reputation points from each user that likes all your posts and comments respectively.
* Rep. points earned when others share your post publicly, changed from 2 to 1.
* All vouchers are whilst stocks last.
With all the measures as described, everyone should still be able to accumulate enough reputation points for voucher redemption (regardless whether you’re new or veteran) while promoting fairness and maintaining the integrity of its original purpose.
At the same time, we’d also like to reiterate the rationale of reputation points:
When we created the reputation points system on our platform, we had two things in mind. The first was a way to rank users who are actively contributing, and let the community know who are the better investors and opinion leaders. The second was a way to encourage more users to actively post quality content and engage with the community meaningfully.
Essentially, we’re a social network for investors to connect and become better through meaningful sharing and discussion. Similar to the differences between Linkedln and Facebook, each of these social networks have different audiences and themes. Hence, we would like all community members to stick to stock-related posts and comments and help keep our platform true to form. As this community is formed by everyone’s contributions and hard work, we would also like to encourage everyone to do their part as members to report comments or posts that are inappropriate, abusive or spam.
Here’s our community guidelines and etiquette once again:
https://www.investingnote.com/posts/39956. Once again, we'd like to highlight that we have the right to moderate all the content on our community.
Let’s do our part to keep this platform clean and conducive for all investors to become better as a social network community!
Vouchers are currently still out of stock due to late supplier shipment. We will be resuming the vouchers soon.
Thanks and have a good weekend everyone!
