2.2 was my tp a couple of weeks back... depending on how fast it drops, I might shift my tp to 2.16. :D I'm of e view that things may not look good for reits until the 2nd half of 2017 when market is more sure of the effects of trump n depends on how many hikes there will be from Jan to June.

But at e same time I'm afraid of missing the boat that's y I've initiated position in certain reits and will avg down when the opportunity arises and when things start to look clearer.

if look at 2 year chart

2.20 looks like a decent entry into A reit... in which I will look out for to swap CDG for Areit

I see
Slowly nibble as it goes down is also a good strategy
I am more of the impulsive type, like to one shot buy
Now sitting on 5% paper losses on reits hahahaa

Now market expectation is 4 hikes for 2017
So 2 hikes have to take place by july 2017
If only 1 hike in 1st half of 2017
Reits may rally

When market is cheap u should hold less cash and buy more
When market is expensive u could take some profits and keep thr cash into warchest

Now is the time to be using warchest

yes but u see i DO expect market to get cheap-ER

with regards to reits at least, dmg of 4 rate hike shouldnt be underestimated.

thinking of putting off reits buying ( this round buy once) then next purchase of reits will be late next yr( maybe after 3 rate hikes)

30% warchest, TP impt ( agree with geno)... may need to re-evaulate what stock impt to me and just go with it...

dilemma siol

think will focus more on Areit (drop due to rate hike) and Singtel ( affected by competition) for year 2017 !


singtel long term support at 3.50 liddat, areit, 2.18
limited warchest makes me sad


left decide parkway or RMG now :p

have 100 shares of DBS, keep there let it grow , since cant afford more liao

Nice portfolio you have there, how big is your portfolio? You are receiving a dividend of $1.2K every month, which is enough to cover your monthly expenses already if you don't own a car

Mine was half of urs. Just hoot fct and cmt now left one bullet and sitting at loss. But it's OK. Looking at their low gearing and stable business should be able to navigate through the rough sea ahead. If it drop 10% will use leftover bullet to average down. Hope that doesn't happen. 😂 :look:

My warchest is around $30k.....

I aim to allocate $10k per hoot......so can limit my choices to 3 :(

Current portfolio value is around $340k after last week's weakening market

Ya.....the average dividends collected per month for 2016 is almost $1.3k (if I did not go for Scrips on DBS, OCBC, MLT and RMG, the figure will be close to $1.5k) Enough to cover living expenses for sure. But because I give $1k per month to my parents, I still need my salary.....:(:s22: cannot throw letter yet

No car for me.....I use BMW:o
