LAK SEK.
...should I get from Incheon Airport or Changi Airport instead? Will the items be cheaper?
suggest avoiding the Changi Airport outlet, as it is not MCM, it is Nuance Watson, and the staff have poor product knowledge, poor attitude and high turnover..
I got a clutch from them, and the color transfer was VERY bad (like color me red, then after that i cannot wash off kind of bad)
when i tried to seek help from taka, they said they couldn't help, so I waited for my next flight out of T2
(which means i had to wait for a holiday, since it's mostly budget flights that fly out of there).
when i finally brought my bag to T2, they said the one year warranty was up.
(wtf? i was never told there was an end to the warranty. in fact i didnt know there was a warranty until after i paid for the thing. and btw. chanel, kate spade all have 2 year warranties. i didnt expect less of this brand)
so nvm, they kept my bag, said they'd contact HQ, and over 2 months, i visited them 3x, repeating my story each time, cos each time they claimed their predecessors had left. but the good folks that were there at the time all promised they'd respond to me if i left my contact number. all this time, my bag was sitting in their shop while absolutely NOTHING was done about it.
finally, a woman (Jolyn) from Nuance Watson called me, said that the people who had assisted me at the shop had LEFT THE COMPANY, so i had to re-explain the entire situation AGAIN.
then she asked me for my receipt, and said without a receipt, things may be difficult
(hello, if a receipt would be necessary to claim warranty, then they should have told me. i distinctly rmb the saleswoman telling me to "don't lose the card, because you will need it to claim warranty". definitely didn't tell me to keep the receipt).
next, she asked me leading questions about whether i wet the bag while using it.
(like criminal like that. very good)
today, after a month of pointless research, she dropped me an email saying that warranty was inapplicable since it was past one year (despite how the sales person failed to tell me about the warranty period), and that repairs would cost EUR133 (but she was unable to comment on whether a warranty would apply if the issue recurred), and also "out of goodwill", they could send the bag back free of charge.
"goodwilll" my backside. this issue wouldn't have happened if i had known about the one year warranty. and they can't even guarantee that the problem will be solved after i pay for the repairs (or at least they cannot present me with a solution).
and she even called my bag a snakeskin when i was told i had bought a calfskin. isn't that misrepresentation by either her or her staff who sold me the bag? because the bag is quite rare, i can't find any credible information about it.
i've never had such bad service!
i usually research all my bags carefully.this was my first impulse purchase (a reward for working hard), bought solely because of its beautiful design, and i totally regret it. it's just sad that we can't trust sales people.
just fyi - i've carried the bag less than 5x, and always in very protected conditions (aircon room, to aircon car, in cool dry weather). each time, i get coloured red. machiam like menstruating like that. there are truly cheaper ways to embarrass myself.
