Rec'd the letter from SingTel too.

Started to google around for online streaming source. Was thinking of getting a VPN service and sign up for Sky Sports and came across this webby: 123uktv . com

Didn't manage to find much review about it but it seems to cater to my needs: hassle free VPN cum Sky Go subscription.

Thus would like to know if anybody knew about this site before? As it doesn't provide any trial service, a bit skeptical to sign up.

Oh Thats really sad... I should have cancelled this long before.. Now I will be left with streaming sites only....

The ch 5 HD feed on mio has also been swoped with the DVB-T2 signals, one is now able to toggle off and off for the close captioned subts.

In the same condition as you. Mine is with Mio Stadium. what are your plan? I am thinking of going for one of the Gold Pack ($64.90) and 200MB Fiber Entertainment Bundle @ $49.90 after the $20 rebate. Total cost will be $114. Currently, I am paying about $75.

I find the the whole promo/package thing confusing. What is the best deal at the moment for the following:

- Just tv with EPL & CL (will get broadband from VQ)
- Tv (incl. EPL & CL) and fibre broadband

For the latter there is some CNY special at $88, and then top up $64.90 for the rest?

Is Mio now running better/faster than last year, with picture interruptions and other trouble due to running on old tech (phone line)?

There will be free preview of all channels on mioTV from 29th Jan 5am to 3rd Feb 11:59pm! Except fashiontv HD, mio Stadium channels and all on-demand channels/VOD shows.

just to summarise... The 2 months free fiber entertainment subscription is a constant promotion.. always have one.. then less $20 from ur internet subscription when u sign up any of the GOLD pack... that is constant also.. this is to differentiate from starhub and attract u to stay... since MDA does not allow any discount to the $64.90 gold pack price.

Only difference seems like during the last IT show (nov-dec period), they were giving free 12 months DVR set top box rental... which is quite a good deal.. current promotion, dunno still have free DVR set top box or not...

my letter only says free 6 months box rental worth $29.40..

sad.... any guys who had luck squeezing out a better deal thru telesales team, or road show guys, or whichever dept, pls kindly share here. thank you very much.

MDA cross-carry rule is that ST must sell the BPL pack to both ST and SH subscribers ($59.90), not the Gold Pack price. ST cannot discount BPL for ST subscribers only. If discount BPL must discount to both. The Gold Pack pricing is a bundle price so outside MDA's cross-carry ruling.

Therefore, loop hole for old time ST subscribers at "old low" BPL price had to be stopped. Won't be surprised someone shot ST's "old low" BPL price to MDA, creating the unhappiness and anti-ST sentiment seen lately when ST had to adjust the "old low" BPL price. If ST continued with the "old low" BPL pricing to ST old time subscribers, then ST must also offer same "old low" BPL price to SH subscribers.

MDA's cross-carry ruling override all existing contract terms that state otherwise. So all "old low" BPL pricing have to be history no choice, courtesy of MDA.

the last time i call, they offer $200 mobile voucher. Ask them if can convert to discount for internet, they say cant.

anyway, for me, i am likely to cancel my Mio Stadium in the coming few days. Wait for IT show to see if any good offer. If nothing, I am very likely to switch over to SH and forget about watching BPL on pay tv. Watch online.

Why not just let the subscription run as it is and then cancel in early May? If you really want to recontract, you can always do it in August. There is only a third of the season left. If you recontract now, you will end up paying for the off season period between May and August. That is about 3 months worth.

Anyway... Not much time to watch World Cup... And opening game and final will usually be on channel 5..

Then last time round, think semi final onwards it was on free to air Liao..

to all those who received letters, i called the number on the letter, immediately talk to a person.

Some add-ons i was offered not mentioned on the letter:

Free set top box extend from 6 months to 12 months - and can get DVR Set top box too!

And because I have a mobile line with Singtel, I get $200 mobile voucher on my account, can be used to port in a Singtel number, buy new phone or buy mobile phone accessories.

BUT BUT BUT... for 200mbps plan.. cant get Dual band modem.. only wireless modem..

Yep forgot about world cup. I guess it will be available on both Starhub and Mio. Not so much of an issue for those with Starhub, but may be something to consider for those without.

Mine seems to not appear even though in the settings, the Subtitle is on
