Didn't come here very long, now only realize I am not the only one have volume problem.

Last time when I use the silver box, my mio remote can control the volumne nicely, hence 99% of the time I only use mio remote. Now I am using the recording one, some channel I totally cannot control the volume. I have experienced this in sports channel, 102 - 11x. The volume I put 0, it has no sound. but as soon as I put to 1, it has same loud volume as 25 (the max). I have to use TV remote to lower the volume. Other channels don't seem to have this problem. Has been like this since day 1 I use the recording version box, been living with it and lazy to troubleshoot liao.

One question, I always record a lot but don't have so much time to catch up all shows. It will auto-recycle older episodes when HDD almost full. I think they install with a 500GB HDD. Can I try open it and replace with a 2TB HDD?

You cannot modify the set top box because it belongs to the property of singtel.

Modifying it will only result in a loss of technical support and a penalty charge.

I have the same issue also. Have to diligently remove old recordings that I will not likely watch. Also, some recording settings still capture duplicates.

You can also set programmes to stay until you erase.

I've been having MioTV problems for the last few months. Everyday around 7pm, when my mum's watching her korean drama, green static will start showing on screen. Then sound lost and black screen then grey static. I've tried calling cs and they told me to reset router and set up box. Yes it recovers after that but every night it will come back again. My router is the 2wire one and the set up box is silver. I'm on ths fibre 200mbps home bundle. As far as i can tell, internet is not affected, only MioTV.

The fox movie channel (family, action & premium) are all damn shltty. All the shows are old old movies...

Even weekends there's nothing interesting to watch on that channels.

Isn't it is true, their programmer target audience is for old folks.
Those that cant remember what they watch the previous week.

As in i take the set top box and plug in myself

plugging in yourself is one thing, but i doubt you can collect the set top box yourself without the technician going to your house to test. you are gonna sign the service report to testify that the connection of your singtel tv works...
