Sometimes just have to bite the bullet and lay the cable.

Hi,

Would like to seek advise from gurus here. I'm having issue with my Singtel TV recently with the following setup. Singtel recently changed out the pair of Airties to new but the problem persist.

The Singtel TV box and the Airties4920 (Secondary) frequently disconnect when the TV box is connected to the TV or monitor, with the IPTV light on the router in red and the Airties4920 (Secondary) 2.4/5GHZ light turning off.
The funny thing is that when I connect the TV/ monitor directly to the router or Airties (Primary), the connection is very stable.

I thought that it is the Airties but it had since being changed to new. Anyone know if there is anything that is missed out like a config or settings etc?

ONT>>SingtelWiFiGigabitRouterAC1900>> Airties4920 (Primary)
Airties4920 (Secondary)>> Singtel TV box

Thanks everyone for the attention and help!

Yes that’s right. The manual VLAN should worked as well.

Decided to factory reset the Asus AC3200 and give it another try.

Changed LAN 3 & 4 to VID 20 / PRIO 4 and the Singtel TV STB was able to work on both ports :s12:

I must have entered some wrong settings over the years and it has been awhile since I last reset the router. Thanks again :)

Yes. Recontracted my internet and TV over the phone with Singtel last Thursday and they came over my place for installation this morning.

Long time ago, my configuration is somewhat similar, just that I was using homeplug.

I tested 1 STB on both LAN ports.

Received the second STB today, but both are connected to Singtel's AC Plus at the moment.

Will test both STB on the ASUS AC3200 when time permits.

so u mean u signed up for another STB from singtel?

if that's the case, likely they assigned the ip to you already.

i was thinking if nv sign up for extra stb but if managed to get 2 stb, can watch anot.

Ya, signed up for a second STB when I did my recontract last week.

They offered me 1 DVR STB (existing) free 24 months & 1 standard STB for $5/month.

Hi

Can I verify if the singtel tv HDR box will work with another broadband ISP? Think the normal singtel tv box without recording will work with other ISP, not sure about the HDR one. Any experience from you folks?

Currently I have singtel tv and broadband, but thinking of switching ISP. Thanks.

Just like to ask what the attraction if for Singtel MIO tv versus Starhub? MIO seems to have quite a number of technical issues... so I just curious... I've been on Starhub for very long and am looking around for options...

Singtel Mio TV box will only work if you have a Singtel home broadband.

Most likely.. Your singtel link would remain (but without broadband connectivity). The 2nd port of the termination point could be used for the new broadband connectivity

If not mistaken.. if you are not a starhub fibre customer, there are additional charges. Singtel doesn't charge extra.
