Good to hear that. Just wondering what is the router used in your case.

Mine is dual network setup via TL-SG105e similar to yours, with the 4K DVR stb connected directly to Singtel Mesh router which are the only devices in this network. The rest of my stuff are routed by pfsense on the main network (which is not the one the mesh router + stb reside in).

That is good to know. Thanks.

I think ONT+SingTel Mesh Router combination is pretty comparable to SingTel ONR when it comes to SingTel TV support.

In your case it is also good that the SingTel Mesh Router is not handling much network traffic.

Contacted the Linksys support today regarding the intermittent Singtel TV freeze issue and was told to use a Static DNS instead. So far so good, need to monitor further to see if it freeze again.

ONT -> Linksys E9450 -> STB

I stopped using the Static DNS, it is causing Wi-Fi issue for me. Was using 8.8.8.4 primary then 8.8.8.8 secondary. For now the best way to resolve the freezing is to restart the ONT and STB. Kinda annoying tbh, but hardly watch any shows there; Netflix and Disney+ are my alternatives.

Interesting the Google DNS will affect WiFi. That should not be the case. What do you mean by WiFi issues?

It seems to me that Linksys E9450 VLAN function is probably not so stable, at least when Singtel TV box 4k is involved.

I've seen report of stable 4K Singtel TV box configurations.
1) Singtel ONR --- Singtel TV Box 4K
2) Singtel ONT --- Singtel Mesh Router -- Singtel TV Box 4K

No reports from Netgear Orbi user yet.

For non-4k box, I have no issues with my Asus RT-AX82U router (and previously Linksys WRT-1900AC router) with my Singtel ONT.

Before setting up the Static DNS, I only faced Singtel TV (non-4K) freezes. But after setting the Google DNS, my Wi-Fi was interrupted, can't access internet at all.

Previously I'm using ASUS RT-AC1200G+, no issues at all. I would go for RT-AX82U if I knew there's issue with Linksys E9450. :(

Hi,

I'm planning to sign up for a new internet service for my new place

Can I use M1 FBB with SingTel TV with my connection?
I don't like the idea of ONR

Just an update, all of a sudden, the freezes seems to have stopped. I didn’t change any settings, no idea what happened. :s22:

Anyone has Singtel TV bundled with your fibre broadband plan? my contract has long ended and I am only using the internet. If I want to cancel the singtel tv and return the set top box, do we need to call ST to debundle before gg down to the ST shop?
If debundle, did they cancel the internet too? I still need my internet though... anyone with experience can advise?

Hearsay that end of this month of May, SingtelTV BPL subscribers whom are still on contract period are able to call in to ST to downgrade their SingtelTV plans.

confirm ma?

I believe quite likely you just need to call ST hotline stating your intention to terminate SingtelTV, they will note in their system but the effective termination date will still be based on the date you have returned the STB.

Never heard about this. Anyway this is unlikely because IMDA's cross carriage rules exist.

Just like Singtel has the rights for the past few seasons, they have to sell to Starhub subscribers. The role will be reversed next season onwards only.

Wow not bad eh. Singtel is pretty generous to allow termination after the current season, despite a high likelihood of getting the feed from Starhub next season onwards i feel.

Point being…when we subscribe to SingTel because of BPL for a 2yrs plan….suddenly now half way Singtel loses the rights to it and your rivals have it…yes StarHub will need to sell to SingTel for “X” amount..will SingTel end consumer whose contract rights already is inclusive of BPL watching made to “pay additional” to watch the same content for the new season?
