🤣… but seriously, can’t believe Starhub won the rights after Singtel owning it for 12 years. let’s see what Starhub can offer tomorrow :s22:
The industry watchers were expecting Singtel to win without competiton. StarHub also did not plan to get the PL rights. According to BT's interview with their CEO, PL had a chat with him, and they decided to go on with this whole thing.

  • Premier+ with StarHub mobile postpaid, broadband, or TV plan above S$15 monthly: $19.99 (early-bird price for first 25,000 subscribers between 9 to 30 June 2022), $24.99 from July.
  • Premier+ only: $34.99 (early-bird price for first 25,000 subscribers between 9 to 30 June 2022), $39.99 from July.
  • Customers on IPTV can subscribe to the Premier Pack at $64.90, with cross-carriage options available.

  • So cross carriage for us singtel customers is $64.90? Like that might as well sign up for $34.99 Premier+ and $5 a month rental fee for Starhub’s TV Plus Box also way cheaper?

To watch champion league, just add on the Sports+ TV pass, then the EPL will be $19.99 per month. Both add together only $44.98, much cheaper than Singtel. Starhub also give you Disney+ for signing 2 TV pass, and can watch on 2 device simultaneously.

I don't see no reason to not sign up for starhub rather than staying on Singtel for cross-carriage.

The cross carriage is simply not worth it.

FYI the free Disney+ for 2 TV passes sign up is valid till February 2023 only.
Still more attractive than Singtel’s offering for football though

I had a word with SingTel 1688 a couple of days back regarding termination:
SingTel TV - return the equipment to Comcentre/ JP/ Tampines Mall/ CP
Internet broadband - just call 1688 to terminate. no need to return the ONT or router.

Just not sure and trying to compare between SH and ST (TV + premier league package + broadband + home line)
1) how long is waiting period from SH sign-up to installation?
2) when is the ideal time to terminate ST tv and broadband and home phone (1-2 days before installation?)
3) can I port over my home phone line number from ST to SH (I intend to sign up for home line with SH)?
4) is there a need for SH to do any pre-installation check at my residential address, or will it be a straightforward installation?
5) SH says it will cost $72 + for tv+ and broadband bundle 1Ghz, and top up $2+ for home phone line, and they also say I can retain my home phone line number from ST to SH.

guys/ gals - your thoughts?

ST 1688 updated that I can enjoy 6 months free Singtel TV subscription (and just pay for the set-top box rental) - just need to inform them I want this 6 months offer.
Otherwise, there is the $20 reduction due to no more premier league on mio channels.
No early termination charges if contract is still on.
They don't have info on cross-carriage charges until July.
That's all they have to retain the Singtel tv customers.

Seems like the best deal now is to find someone who is a StarHub subscriber of any service of at least >§15 monthly fee. To register asap tomorrow for the premier+ sub @ $19.99. Then share this account to another person exclusively. As at any 1 time, 2 concurrent stream can occur with a single account subscription.

$10 per month to watch BPL….Ho Seh eh…
