my keep hanging leh dunno whats wrong..this only happened when i decided to move my modem into my room..previously it was outside my living room(connected by the comtrend homeplug) it was fine

Call 1688 up if the comtrend homeplug is something you bought over from Singtel. They should be able to get you a replacement, I would suggest you to bang table and make noise to have someone sent over to your place and replace your comtrend homeplug to a "wifi ruckus". This ruckus transmit tv signals to your receiver and seems to have lesser problems as compared to the homeplug you are using, that is of course if your house layout does not compromise signal strength.

For your information, since comtrend homeplug run using your electrical mains (please do not connect it to an extension plug or a multiplug, but only directly to the electrical mains on the wall), you might be experience this signal loss due to voltage lost in your electrical wires caused by "overloading" electrical appliances that are connected to your home.

Hang should not occur if you directly connect STB to modem leh, this is most probably your ethernet ports in your mio box or modem is faulty. My modem was replaced two times liao, not very durable leh. In fact not connecting through the homeplug or ruckus is better.
