I noticed Channels 105 and 106 seem to have a lower resolution during live Premier League broadcasts, as if most of the bandwidth has been taken up by other live channels. Anyone else have this problem? BTW, I'm on fibre.

For EPL only 102, 103 and 104 are HD. The rest are SD.

...

Curious what they cock up on. Set top box lost or termination excuses?

Very likely I will terminate in 9 months time when mine expires. Do not believe in paying for set top box rental.

mio tv subtitles

Hi. I just sign up for mio tv last month. anyone experience subtitles does not synchronize with the program? i was watching this channel 513 ydae (one tv asia), but the subtitles was lag by 30 seconds. it does not synchronize with the scenes from the drama. I called up mio tv and they claim it not their problem. I have a feeling it might be the set up box issue. Thanks.

Hi. we have to choose the options of subtitles. Only currently sbs one tv asia (channel 513) offer this. Usually I will choose mandarin as the subtitles. But yesterday, both subtitles lag. It does not sychronise with the flow of the show. Is this call soft subbed? Hard sub is like kbs world where the subtitles already appear in the show is it?

Yes.
Think you need to find a better customer service to make noise about the issue

i actually believe it the set up box problem. but the customer service officer keep insisting that it the content provider which is the one tv asia channel problem. It seems like I am the only user who suffer this problem. The rest seems to be fine. If it the one tv asia channel problem, I am sure all the users in Singapore will be complaining about it. It so frustrating that mio tv keep having problem. Almost every month I have to call up singtel because of the mio tv problems. (image freeze, no image etc).

Subtitles issues are fr the channel provider, I.e. Sony Pictures Television Asia. Just request the CSO to feedback to the backend dept. At least mio TV allows subscribers to choose subtitles. and audio. Look at Starhub their STB can't even allow selection of subts. And they dun want to offer the service. :)
