Anyone here using Netgear X8 Nighthawk AC5300 router and successfully linked to Singtel TV? Appreciate if you could share your experience.

Hi,

My SingTel Broadband contract is ending in Feb'18. I do not plan to renew.
1. Do I have to return the Setup Box or can I keep it?
2. I have a free 500mb mobile broadband that comes with my broadband plan. Do I have to cancel it personally? Or it's cancelled automatically?

1. Set TOP box and remote controller, with power supply adapters all have to return personally to designated singtel retail shops for termination of singtel tv. You keep any of these you get charged..

2. Best you call in and terminate yourself to avoid being charged

Scenario 1
If your setting is ONT -> ASUS RT-AC1200GT+ -> MioTV
Under this condition, you will need to configure your ASUS RT-AC1200GT+ to use the singtel-miotv/singtel-others profile

Scenario 2
If you setting is ONR -> ASUS RT-AC1200GT+-> miotv
Under this condition, your ASUS RT-AC1200GT+ just need to configure to AP mode. No need to configure any profile at all.

That’s right, if you are using ONR, do not configure ac1200g+ as router, but instead as AP..

Things get haywire after Singtel pushes the firmware update to my AC+ modem router to resolve my wifi mesh issue.

The IPTV light is blinking red and my setup box is struck at the loading page. And I can only get the technician to do the site visit next week due to my schedule.

Anyone encounter similar problem with the red blinking light? If it is due to corruption by the update on the AC+, I might just go to 313 to replace the modem router, much more faster.

Attempted a reset for the router?

Router, setup box and ONT reset few times but couldn't resolve the problem.

Singtel advised me to replace the setup box. Not exactly convinced by his reasoning that my setup box is spoilt. He said the red blinking light is due to the signal not being able to sync between the setup box and the router. The light is a indication of the box's behaviour and not an indication for the incoming signal for the TV.

But it is too much of a coincidence that the issue arise right after the router's firmware update. Anyway, probably will try replacing the box first. Hopefully he is right.

Optic led will turn red ifnyour set TOP box cannot sync with optic server, or when it’s off. Try changing the cable or switch lan ports to isolate issues?

You are right. The IPTV led will be either red or blinking red when the setup box is unable to establish a link with the modern router.

Did a setup box replacement at 313 followed by a reboot of the ONT and modem router resolved the problem.

Has anyone used AnyCast to show miotv on their screen? I subscribe to Miotv Go but my ipad a bit small. Wondering if I can use AnyCast to cast Miotv onto my bigger monitor.
