*Update at 3.55PM 12/10/2013: SingTel just confirmed that all affected ADSL services (copper-based Internet, mio TV and voice services) have been restored. However, there are still a small number of fibre cables that require further rectification. As such, some SingTel fibre customers may still be experiencing service performance issues or difficulties connecting to the Internet.

SingTel is dispatching mobile broadband dongles to customers (on fibre broadband services only) as soon as possible for use with their laptops and desktop PCs. As for fibre-based mio TV, mio Voice and Internet customers, the telco will start to install ADSL broadband at their homes to support these services. Affected customers are advised to contact SingTel at recovery@singtel.com with their contact details and account number.

I only have MIO TV with them. Tried calling the customer care around 2 hours yesterday. fed up. will try again and see..
Only HD channels and EPL channels have probelm

I guess it could be due to the recent software update for the set top box causing this problem?

have you tried the hard reset (Holding down the power button on the STB and reboot it several times until the Gear icon appears)?

I believe this is the set-top box go into recovery mode. It will take 40 to 45 mins for the set-top box to complete the process. So do not interrupt, otherwise have to go through the 40 to 45 mins again.

which model is your set top box?

I'm using the motorola model without HDD, and it takes only 8 mins tops when I was on 15mbps ADSL speed.

I have not tried it.

Was told by the ST installer that when I switch on the STB (from power off), this will normally take about 2 mins. If I interrupt this a few times, it will go into recovery and will take 40 to 45 mins.

I too using the grey Motorola w/o HDD now.

But in a weeks time, will be getting a HD DVR free 12-months with the new re-contract plan (on Fibre) signed 1-1/2 weeks ago.

I encountered error page when I access Video On Demand. Anyone experiencing similar problem?

Still no change for me. They said technician need to come over to check what is wrong. Customer service have no clue.. Really hopeless. Appointment scheduled for Sunday only. So will miss EPL matches on Saturday... :(:(

Call the mioTV support line and tell them you subscribe to live EPL. Better still if you also subscribe to 111 to 116, get them to come over same day cause you do not want to miss your dose of live excitement. You have that immediate priority response.

It happened to me once and the ST salaried technican (not contractor) came over almost immediately on a Saturday night because of my EPL live matches.

Upgrade is right, on weekends, they will come down immediately.....not sure if applicable if live match falls on weekday.

Btw, the compensation package is out, free one month viewing of all chs. :)

think I could ask to swap family+ for jingxuan? My parents don't watch any of the family channels.. only jiangsu satellite..

Apparently when i click the on demand button, I can only see movies. What happened to the Sports -_-

I just spent some time going through the channels. mio Stadium on demand (EPL) is now on Ch 109 while mio Sports on demand is Ch 133.

I think the re-organized now. VOD is now for fees based. Whereas the free movies are next to or close to the non-vod channel. For examples, 586 Celestrial on demand is next to 585 Celestrial, Kix HD on demand is 309 next to Kix HD 308.

I think cleaner this way to have all the fees based grouped together and those free now next to the original channels.

The same had happened to me earlier and the technician came and repaired the same within 1 hour. So I told them about this when I called them and they say they are not aware of such an arrangement. :s8::s8: So the earliest they can do is to arrange for Sunday morning. I will be missing the Saturday matches.. :(:(

Call 1688 and go to the mioTV hotline. I am very sure you have the priority. I wasn't even aware until they told me. Not all who answer 1688 may know this. You need to select and go to mioTV. The people there will know.

Sadly I went to miotv hotline only and the agent who answered had no idea on this. what to do.. May be all screwed up after the fire...:s8:
