If it is indeed due to house wiring issue, what should I do? Subscribing to fibre won't solve the problem as I would still need to route through the homeplugs via the house wiring.

You can consider doing direct LAN cabling. Though the trunking of the LAN cable or if no trunking, it would be pretty unsightly unless you paint it to be the same color as your wall.

I am not sure about the part re waived till after 31 Dec 2014. I am of the impression that you can watch free the channels you are subscribing to and that is available on the mioTV GO app.

"Watch some soccer tonight", I assume you mean World Cup. I am subscribed to World Cup and I am watching it on Ch 141 on mioTV GO right now just to be sure so that I can reply you correctly.

Obviously, you must be subscribing to the actual package on set-top box then you can watch it on mioTV GO app.

cause i want to use my uncle mio account but i scare later on they have to pay for the monthly sub for mio tv go

i found evidence but it confusing from singtel site

mio term and condition i found

25. Do I need to pay for live streaming?

Live streaming of selected channels on mio TV GO will be available at no additional charges to customers
who have subscribed to the corresponding channels on mio TV.

the other one i found is
8) Do I need to pay for live streaming?

Access to live streaming is charged at $5/ month and only accessible to those who have
the corresponding channels on their TV subscription. However, these customers will
enjoy this service for free for a promotional period till 31 Dec 2014.

both from singtel site so i quite confusing

Hi, I am facing buffering/flickering/black out issues whenever I'm watching the HD channels on mio-tv. I'm using the Aztech 500mbps homeplugs connected directly to the wall sockets. Very frustrating especially when watching the world cup channels. Any advice?

I just signed up for singtel fibre and I'm having the same issue but I'm not using homeplugs. Using a direct connection straight from the free router they provided. (ONT>router>mio box) really irritating trying to watch football as the video and audio is really jerky.

Any suggestions to fix this? Tried power cycling the ONT and router and all but no difference.

guys, what the latest Singtel set top box model?

Contract ending in sept this year, stay with them due to the 3-in1 package and annual recontract benefits...thinking to recontract or not. Mine is still the 4 years old Motorola VIP-1200 (with their fibre broadband since 2010) , seem like Starhub cable already change to a new generation with faster CPU samsung set top box with newer interface.

Singtel IPTV still using their first generation old box which is so slow and laggy.

SingTel now had only Tatung and Cisoco STB for rent. They had discontinued the Motorola STBs since last year.

Some channels are really boring. Keep on repeating the same old shows and even episodes, or broadcast old shows...

Umm would like to ask something. My mio tv is at my living room. But if i want to watch it in my room as well, is it possible? From what i googled, a possible solution is to use a wireless hdmi transmitter to send it from my living room to my room? Anyone has any experience or suggestions?

Yes. You just need to rent an additional set top box..

So they finally realized that IPTV not stable enough...

The article is about using MoCA instead of Homeplug that uses Electrical wiring within single home environment.
Nothing to do with IPTV not stable.
