Seemed like the freezing issue still occurs. Anybody have issues like that? My setup is as follows

Ont-aztech7009(router)-asus ac68u(ap)-singtel tv

you shouldn't experience freezing issue. have you reset the set top box and try again? if not, switch the ethernet port which the set top box is currently using to another port.

I had the 7003 and also singtel tv last time, it never froze on me before, except for certain days i see the boxes somehow..

Tried restart already. Have not change port yet. So there isn't any particular settings need to be done on my asus router right. Basically I only set it to ap mode plus set its own ip and provide ip range for device who connects to it. Now monitoring again.

Switching port to try

*side check. As I am on 1gbps fibre entertainment plan, I tested my speed and realized I always hit =>500mbps. is this normal? My setup is as per above just that from 7009 router - directly to my pc with 1gbps Ethernet port

Im confused. You connect singtel tv to asus or 7009? Asus in ap mode shouldnt support singtel tv as far as i know..

500+ could be normal. I get 500 to 700+ depending on the timing of day. The speedtest server is slightly not in shape. Looking at the download graph, i suspect there is a certain degree or inaccuracy. U might wanna try the java speed test on singnet utility..

Ok.
Ya I connect it though Asus which is on ap mode. It worked. My 7009 is connected in dB box that shares it's other lan port to my living rooms and bedrooms. Asus is use at living as an ap but also link to my Internet TV as well as singtel tv via lan.

If I understand it, is your connection as follow

ont ->7009(router) ->asus(AP) ->to singteltv ? And singteltv works ?

Hmm like what I have mentioned previously, not sure why starting from jan 2016 html/flash based speedtest by oakla does not work very well for us. Install java on your browser and test again. After that you can remove java easily by uninstalling through your control panel. This is mine on st utilities- 1 gbps home ent bundle. I did my speedtests on oakla and all I got was 650-700 only.

And.. it's better to have your router (be is asus or stock aztech) which is connected directly from the ont to your tv instead of using an ap to do it.

By right your stock fibre terminal point should allow you to do so le during open net 1st installation. Unless you did something to your home haha.

Oh right.. 7009 will work with asus ap mode when connected with singtel tv. Since dhcp is being handled by 7009, then asus ap will work.. sorry for the blunder.

Java based and flash based speedtest will give u different results. According to history, it's not the first time flash based results become inaccurate of java based result. Maybe must wait for people to complain to Singtel first before the flash based method gets a fix..

I will trust the java based result since flash based result is inaccurate..

Yup, dhcp handled by 7009. I have since switch ports and monitoring. If it happens again what else i can do? Understand from the technician is if it happens again, they will change the router (7009). - But i am in doubt whether this will resolve the issue.

For speedtest, wkweewee hits nearly 1gbps =\

you have singtel tv? I used the utility from singtel but never get pass 500 when i am actually on 1gbps?

did not do any funny. new bto house got this issue of router need to place in db box which in this case caused the wireless signal to be very weak. That is why i pull a router to my living room for broadcast of wifi and at the same time link to my singtel tv. The router in db box is link to all my other rooms lan port.

No as when you got ur bto flat maybe can ask a contractor to lay an ethernet cable/ port from the db box to ur desired tv box location. Liddat dunnid to connect to ur ap. Then ur ap of course can place anywhere.

For the stock router on 1gbps, can get abt 8xx on st utility. Maybe if you can't get at least 800, you can drop st a call and let their tech come down and see see.

I did try to use ap for st tv once but sometimes it just gets konky. So I feel direct from the router which gets connected to the ont is best.

Er there is a lan port in my living room. Previously I connect it directly to singtel tv but also faced similar issues. But as I said earlier, due to wireless coverage, I put a 2nd router as ap so that it can broadcast wireless at the same time connect to singtel tv.

Haha i know what u r talking abt, just saying that ont>router>tv&ap, with ap just being an ap. I tried using ap for my miotv, it would work but sometimes with disruptions.

Edit: U did a ont>router>ap>tv which is ok but might go haywire at times.

If both cases liddat den most prob the router got issue. I got issue from ap to tv but not from router to tv.
icic. But actually it does not have difference as the AP is just a forwarder. Renfred did also mentioned that his did not freeze using that setup? - Renfred am i correct?

If not, then i have to try again using direct and see if it occurs again.

Yeah you are right. Sometimes the freezing can also be due to the yellow patch cord. That's what I heard from the technician last time. Well if it happens again, take a pic of the freeze, or a short video so that the technician can use it as a proof to do next time of action. If no pic no video, he also very hard to account for the reason why he's replacing anything for you.. thats a tip lah, see if u think is useful?

I rmb I used to take pic and video to show technician of my intermittent reboot for my old old dsl7000grv router, so that helped me to ease alot of rough edges trying to argue and argue with him. Hahas..

Thank you. Will try again.
Previous attempt same config as yours my singteltv couldn't work.

U have to set your asus router to ap mode. And no dhcp function as your 7009 is the main router.
