Nanoblocks are small, nice to display on tabletop.

More challenging, because of very small bricks to build with.

Maybe one fine day I'll be inspired to get a set and build :)

Quite disappointed on Kawada choosing the aircraft carrier to be a US release as it lacked details compared to Japanese ships.

Well cannot blame them la, enterprise had been most iconic for USS ship kits , same like Yamato for the emperor fleet

Thats true la.. but then there is not much details in an aircraft carrier too. Only the flight deck, the island and the elevators..

For Yamato, they have much more details to portray..

Chimpanzee

Hi, has anyone got plans for the Chimpanzee, I can't figure out the body from the pictures I have seen..
JINS Yamato is a great model, I added a few extra bits, Like an extra radio tower in clear round blocks aft of the funnel and a more detailed aircraft lift on the rear deck using a tripod of round grey(s) blocks.

I agree the Enterprise is simplistic when you look at it closely, but a detailed model would be horrendous to do and about double the size it is now. What a great idea, do it Kawada!!!
How about a Sydney Harbour Bridge, USS Missouri, or Burj al Arab Tower?

Just a fearful skeptical thought: I wonder if I walked down to this path to be a professional, will I be successful like those Lego artists? :X

Hmmm, it may be hard, imo. I keep seeing Nanoblock like a fad, but it might just be me. Nanoblock right now seems to be keep doing a lot of exclusive for the sake of earning $$. This starts to dilute some market imo.. And distributors are not really very active in distributing. Lego on the other hand has a lot of things going on.

Also some adult lego fans (I know there are some AFOLs here) are quite particular about the way bricks are built, which brings Lego to another stage because of the build. Nanoblocks on the other hand hasn't been very particular about it... Most of may nanoblock builds are still falling apart very often. :s

Obviously it's not cause you are not good enough! Hahaha, but the market doesn't seem like it's moving towards "professional" direction... Hmmm.

Lego is always fresh because of the passionate people continue to build and create things which are mindblowing; it is like pushing the methodology of brick building.

Nanoblock in Japan is 10 steps ahead of us, they have somehow turned into an educational tool in meteorology while we are stuck in the collecting era because no one like the distributor is going to give a damn about what these blocks could do.

I would be amazed if there is ever a first roadshow being conducted in Singapore.

all dreams start from idealistic ideas ;) if no one dares to step forward and be the first one to push, to go on the unbeaten path - then where will progress emerge from? =:p

Singapore's market is very unique la. haha..
