Looking at Yishun 5rm, only 25 units available so not sure if there's even a chance.

hmm .. but if everyone thinks that its hard and dont apply the good ones .. then those who dare to try and risk it will get the good units/locations.

Not sure if anyone did a company ballot before .. I had the chance to see human psychology in a way .. My company had 90 pairs of f1 tickets for ballot but in different grandstand locations and for different days.. I noticed that many had the thinking that "the final day sure alot of people try so I will try for the 1st or 2nd day" .. in the end, I received most submissions for the lousier grandstand locations and first/2nd day .. those who dare to try for final day, most of them for it because not much competition.

morale of the story, good location, if u want, just apply. You never know if many have the same thinking as you then they give up and try for other lousy locations instead .. then u have higher chance ..

I'll apply for sure. The rest is left to luck and other possible criterias already.

Cool explanation of this 'theory'. Of course I'm hoping there'll be more people who won't dare to apply. :s13:

if i got enough grant (AHG+SHG) for my 10% downpayment that means i no need to pay any cash for down-payment? FOR example if i received 45k grant, down-payment for the flat is just nice 45k that means i no need to take out any cash for downpayment right.

Grant only lowers the overall cost of your flat. The downpayment of 5/10/20% is then calculated based on that lowered cost.
