Am actually using Redmi Note 3 for very close to 2 years already. Was ok until recent MIUI 9 update now is at its best performance. Super battery too. Just itchy look see look see everywhere only. So no hurry. May just see this month end how is the rumored Mi 8.

Actually MIUI has very good update support even on a 300 bucks budget phone. I prefer bug fix and performance improvement vs OS version update. I like smoothest, not necessarily latest.

I also waiting to see Mi7/8 before deciding on upgrading my OP3. Nv try MIUI before though. I think Mi7/8 will be cheaper with comparable specs
