$712 for a disc version is below SRP. Good buy. New or used?Yeah maybe I bought PS5 too soon and need not have, though Spider-Man and Tsushima are great on PS5. Bought it off a carouseller for $712 disc version.

Is it local set? If so, it is super good deal.New!
Yes I think so. The Singapore logo is on the box, managed to register warranty online via SG playstation website and the set is working well with no issues so far.Is it local set? If so, it is super good deal.
I would rather buy another ps5Do you guys increase ur ps5 storage? 1tb ssd it’s like 360 now.. not sure should just buy or wait first
Hope we won't get the new ps5 which is worse

There is no reduction in SOC node process, so it's unlikely the chip is running more efficiently, so a decrease in mass and surface area of heatsink will for sure reduce cooling efficiency. Even the base plate seems to be a drop from full copper to a mixture. When you get tech information from influencers rather than the experts.

Just ill-informed, misleading opinions.
In term of the topic of heat dissipation, efficiency is primary.

Initial design was probably over spec slightly on the heatsink to prevent unexpected failure due to heat, now they probably confident enough that the slight raise in temps will be fine so faster cut costs to a cheaper but still "effective" solution.agree that efficiency is primary, but it's quite clear from the video that the temperature output is higher, which directly relates to the processors operating at a higher temperature.
a sample size of one unit is definitely far from conclusive and Sony probably did enough research to conclude that the system is safe to operate with the marginally higher temperature but if you ask me, I'd definitely rather get a bigger heatsink with copper components
