Hiax..such a mess..think just hold on to pre-ordering any game for now till more news come out ba.. anyway game shld not have stock issue unless it is collecter/special edition ba..

I guess that makes sense since it would effectively cut out any possibility of reselling for next gen systems.

But neither can a pc at $699 today or next year do that as well. So why compare?

Anyway ppl who choose console don’t really care so much, if they wanted the best system they would use PC.

Arguments like this are always coming from PC users that will unlikely consider a console and harping over it forever, when the console owners don’t even care.

The biggest reason ppl choose console is so that they don’t need to think about anything, just boot up play turn off and sleep.

Buying a PC is like buying a car, you can get the fastest, most powerful or most luxurious. Buying a console is taking Grab or Gojek, even if they are not interested in driving you can’t force them that buying a car is more worth it.

You are going off on a tangent here, I didn't compare console to PC, neither did I say console no good, in fact I said the series X is very very cheap for its specs, I also said that most people dun buy console because its the most powerful machine out there, they buy it for the exclusives.

All I said was take the marketing literature with a grain of salt, many will be very disappointed if they buy PS5/series X thinking they will run the next gen games at 4k/60 with all the eye candy like RT, its just impossible, RT looks very good but it simply tanks the performance.

It takes a lot of power to hit 4k/60 locked at highest settings on PC, and this is without RT.

Yeah... so seems like the USD$10 premium for getting the PS5 Version is probably worth it from a reselling point of view? Of course PS4 users will likely still be the majority in SG next year.

Actually I find the article has 1 fundamental flaw... that they compare RTX 3080 to RTX 2080Ti’s performance. They should have compared to 3090 which is set at a similar price point to 2080ti. That is what most 2080ti users will upgrade to.. at least I will.. We want the best performance on our games that money can buy.. not a cheaper alternative with better performance.

This is exactly what I've been saying. Some people just dunno what it takes to do 4k/60 with RT, I believe very few next gen console games will run at 4k/60 with RT, the hardware simply isn't capable of this.

Yup... we should just embrace the exclusives churned out from our PS5s. No need to worry too much about the performance.. so long as they can maintain great games at stable frame rates.

Japanese youtubers recently go hands on with PS5. Probably just Astro's Playroom & their experience of DualSense haptic feedback & adaptive triggers (and maybe sneak peek of UI). No word on whether any games will be shown.

Yeah true. Can definitely cover that $10 for reselling. But maybe not launch titles since like you rightly said PS4 will still be in majority & by the time u resell, they can probably get the launch titles at discount; which is why Sony is also releasing those previously thought-to-be PS5 exclusives like: Horizon & Spiderman MM on PS4 also

Perhaps 2-3 years in then will be good to resell

Those were leaked yesterday, alongside the cold boot UI video. Both allegedly from Russia. But currently still unconfirm whether those photos & videos are real or fake. No verified sources.

The mouse cursor in the screenshot raise a red flag, looks suspicious & fake. While the system in the video might be a dev kit & not the final retail version, judging by the black controller.

However for the usable SSD storage, I expect it to be in that ballpark. 650GB to 700GB (Astro's Playroom takes up abit of space too, unlikely can be deleted).
