Been thinking about whether to buy Ghosts of Tsushima now (25% off in the SG PSN Store) or wait I can play it on PS5 with 60 FPS. Main consideration is that I'm busy with work now and likely can't play anytime soon, but don't want to miss out on the sale too haha.
Anyone else in same boat as me?
My 1010 hoot.
PS4 FIFA 21 with PS5 dual entitlement for $40
And i don't even have a PS4![]()
Time to change TV![]()
Hi, does anyone hear from Court as to when they will ship the pre-orders ? Can we get it on launch day ?
I’m still thinking if I should sell off my PS5. I already have confirmed receipt from Sony for Day 1 collection.
Have no interest in Horizon. Only keen on COD Black ops & Cyberpunk. Which both games have not confirmed actual date of a PS5 version.
Sega confirmed that in 60fps mode, Yakuza runs at 900p on Xbox Series S & 1440p on Xbox Series X.
oddly this game will only come to PS5 next year (while being a launch title for Xbox Series)
but this is a good preview of what to expect for cross generation games to run @60fps. its 900p30 on PS4 Pro. (I think)
let's not get ahead of ourselves~Sega confirmed that in 60fps mode, Yakuza runs at 900p on Xbox Series S & 1440p on Xbox Series X.
A 'next-gen' console running at 900p is a joke & an absolute embarrassment. This isn't old hardware from 2013 like PS4/Xbox One. But a new 2020 next-gen console running at 900p?

PS5 might ends up with 1080p60~![]()
I'm talking about 900p. It's a huge joke for a 'next-gen' console. 900p in 2020 is very bad. Doesn't seem Series S is next-gen after all.let's not get ahead of ourselves~

Seems like interest level in Xbox is at a all-time low. Its so hilariously bad here in HWZ forum that there's not even a single thread for Xbox Series X|S. All I see is PS4, PS5, Switch & Xbox One. That speak volumes. There's a general lack of interest.
Which isn't a surprise at all. Never in the history of videogaming have I seen a company talking over and over about playing old games on brand new console instead of new experience & exciting games. Something that all of them can already do, such as One X.
The lack of Halo at launch was really a huge hit for Microsoft. They really didnt had anything more up their sleeve. I really thought they were hiding a big game from one of their studios for the launch. Absolutely nothing. Relying only on multiplatform third-party titles for a new console launch is ridiculous.
Game Pass. Backwards Compatibility with old games that people already played. Game Pass, BC. Game Pass, BC. Over & over again. Rinse & repeat.

I did find it strange that the new Xbox is launching without any exclusive software. Definitely a missed opportunity there in my view.
That said, I must give them credit where it's due. Their PR machine is fantastic - they managed to communicate very clearly that:
1 - the new Xbox Series X (and S to a lesser extent) will be able to play old / existing games at higher quality;
2 - Game Pass is going to lead to affordable quality gaming; and
3 - they are acquiring game studios in earnest, which will change the exclusive gaming landscape in time to come.
Leaving aside how relevant those 3 points really are to the average gamer, Microsoft managed to stay in the game and create a good buzz for the upcoming launch. It seems to me that Sony consciously chose not to directly engage and fight for mindspace - perhaps they are trying to underpromise and overdeliver?
Reminds me of class presentations in school. There's always that one classmate who didn't really do much work, but their presentation skills are top-notch, and they sound like they are the only true experts on the topic![]()
Also you can feel that Microsoft has moved away from the traditional console-selling model but promoting vigorously on their subscription based Game Pass, compared to Sony's. There are more bothered with people subscribing to their Game Pass than the number of consoles they sell.
Seriously, Xbox Series X will not appeal to gamers with good gaming PCs since their PCs can subscribe to Game Pass and perform better than the Xbox Series X. But for those without a gaming PC, it is damn worth it to buy their Xbox Series X at this price point for 4K gaming and access all the games in their Game Pass.
