Even if they allow deposits with no delivery date committed I'm sure there will be buyers. They could set their own terms.

Funny how businesses can't think from consumer's POV.

Or maybe just using us to create hype - artificial scarcity.

not that I know of, not sure if they will open up again.

in fact, they are one of the e-store that accepts preorder way longer than the rest of them.

the concern now is since my order is fully paid, and if they cannot deliver by the stipulated date (e.g. 10th Jan for mine), I can only LLST and wait or cancel the order (i.e. interest-free loan to HN).

I guess beggers cannot be choosers.

What would be the point in spending $7.5bn if you are not going to change anything? Pretty confident that "other consoles on a case-by-case basis" means that they will be shutting the PS5 out.


Their aim is to get people to switch over to the Xbox. Yeah they might go all software but not anytime soon.

They buy Bethesda not because they want exclusive but because they want the profit that Bethesda games make. And Bethesda can only make profit if going multi-platform.

The PS4 sold around 1.5 times the XBox One, if they're going xbox exclusive means they're denying a potential 1.5 times profit of xbox game profits, why would a company do that?

Interestingly the same argument cannot be said for Sony since first and foremost Sony is a hardware çompany, and secondly they have long history of many exclusives that dates back to the original Playstation. And users getting it is aware of such exclusives which ultimately benefits Sony.

MS future is cloud gaming/streaming and subscription, they don't care what system you used to play their games as long as they get your monthly subscription fee.

These are my views and of course you can choose to disagree.

Cannot blame them lah, covid-19 is the culprit, probably causing the production slowdown and definitely longer delay for worldwide shipment.
