wait for launch day then walk in any store to buy. maybe can get 1 set since there will be people who cancel their po or they have extra sets.

yup getting the standard edition. still need something to play my bluray discs. hopefully TOG can confirm mine is launch day stock. paid and got confirmation all within a minute.

I go for digital PS5, usually i don't sell games.

For xbox i got the disc version.

Yup, not to mention for the backward compatibility of PS4 disc, you will also need the standard version, PS5 digital edition can only play the digital version of PS4 game.

standard too i prefer buy physical games. also can buy cheap on used market and share games with friends

It should be up to the individual developer/publisher to decide if they're going to give you free upgrade and also depends on the naturé of the game itself.

If they do cross platform games, most of the features in the game will be there for both versions, except maybe PS5 has higher framerate and resolution? So means not justified to charge for upgrade.

probably games under sony will likely get free upgrade as they want you to purchase ps5 and boost sales to beat xbox S and win next gen console war

during pre-order day i went to courts website to fill in their formsg to indicate 'my interest' but they never got back. so yesterday i FB them and they ask whether i have paid for the ps5 or got a notification.
i got neither.. so guess it's ggwp.

That indication of interest is useless. I signed up for indication of interest from a few big retailers, also got nothing.
