PS4 was also the same, Xbox with so little following in APAC is able to launch www but Sony so called home ground ***** diss us again 7 years later.

Here are some interesting things I've noticed from our friendly beta testers overseas! :s13:

1. Rest Mode Causing Issues

We're all very used to using Rest Mode, but apparently it's causing system crash issues for some users. The luckier ones get away with just a storage rebuild check, but others get infinite death loop. If there is no patch or workaround by our launch day, please be careful about using Rest Mode!

2. Loud Coil Whine

PS5 has been touted to be much quieter than the PS4, especially since the design itself was meant to increase air-flow. However, some users are reporting that they are hearing an unusually loud whirring, or coil whine, from normal usage. Your mileage may vary on this one, especially since some people are more sensitive to noise!

3. Free Upgrades... to Disc Version??

This is the funniest 'issue' I've seen so far! Apparently some people who have ordered the PS5 Digital Edition ended up finding the PS5 Disc Edition in their boxes! Probably some systemic error that happened during the packing phase at the factories.

If I’m playing a PS4 game, can I play with my friend who is playing the PS5 version of that game, or vice-versa?

It is possible to play together depending on the game, though support must be provided by the game’s developer.

Can PS4 and PS5 players communicate via voice chat?

Yes, PS4 and PS5 players (and users of the new PlayStation app for mobile devices) can communicate via voice chat in Parties. Depending on the game, in-game chat will also work across PS4 and PS5 versions of a game.

How will game invites work between the PS4 and PS5?

Players will be able to send and receive invitations for games that support cross-gen play across the PS4 and PS5. Once the PS5 launches, if you receive an invitation to join a game session, the notification will display which platform the game supports. If a PS5 game does not have a PS4 version available, PS4 players will not receive the invite.

Wow this is just sh*t.
My ps plus is on my USA account but my main gameplay account is my UK account. Looks like I have to abandon my UK account or buy UK PSN for it which is damn expensive.

they start collection at 3pm and I'm being allocated the time from 6pm to 9pm

3 more days !

Mine was 6pm to 9.30pm slot. They put est 1h to 3h wait. Did they manage to sell so many sets?

I'll most likely drop by on 20th Nov to take instead to avoid the crowd.

I'm considering skipping launch day as well, and collect PS5 on the morning/afternoon of 20 Nov instead, where the store might be empty. Mainly to avoid wasting time queueing, as well as hate huge crowds.

I remember the long queue during PS4 launch in 2013. Don't wish to experience that again.

Cool. If it really starts at 3pm, then I just received mine as well. 3-4pm slot. Not bad for a later than 2nd batch pre-order. :s12:
