Essential can play those given for PS Plus right? Just no access to the ongoing catalog of games.
the previous single plan was about to download 3-4 games every month and play all from previous months.

but if the catelog of games for extra is large, then maybe it is worth paying that extra $30 or so

which of the subscription plan for PS5 Plus should I get? Essential seems like a poor deal now if I can't access previous games "purchased" under the previous plan. Is Extra a safe bet?
Essentials is basically the same as the old ps plus plan before the transition. All the games you have claimed previously from the old plan can still be played as long as your subscription is active, no matter which tier you are on. So technically, you "own" those games

The more expensive tiers just gives you access to a catalog of games but you don't "own" these games. Once sony decide to remove some of the games from this catalog, you can no longer play them. Think of it like Netflix where there are always be shows that are removed from the service every month.

Extra is a safe bet. Just top up another $30 and get many more games.
For me I use extra as a way to try games that I'm on the fence. Not those must buy types. Those must buy types I still get them day one.

Anyone experiencing problems with PS Plus Cloud Storage? I'm unable to upload a save game file to Cloud Storage (it asks me to subscribe to PS Plus but I already have a subscription) and can't access Cloud Storage (CE-117773-6).
Can you download/play the PS Plus games?

Saw this in Reddit. But it is for extending PS Plus. same error code tho

Here’s a fix: So basically when your on the Home Screen have the ps subscription you want in your cart then go and find the tab that says “ps plus collection “ it’s gonna bring you to a screen that shows the games u get with ps plus click anygame with the yellow plus it’s gonna bring you to another screen where it shows the subscriptions make sure it’s the same one in you cart or that you want and click purchase and your done

My Aorus 7000 ssd somehow only hits around 4900-5000mb/s. Because of that, I reserve the aorus for 3rd party games only. All 1st party games goes to the PS5 ssd.

Subscribed to Playstation plus and now have many games to download. Looking to expand storage either via external or internal ssd. Is there any recommended and value drives to buy to expand storage? Mainly to store ps4 co-op games that will only be used when friends are over for multi-player. Will still use internal drive for my main games.

It depends on your budget and if you prefer size over performance or vice versa.

Currently, Sabrent 1TB Rocket 4 Plus NVMe 4.0 Gen4 PCIe M.2 SSD at $188 is a solid buy. You can even play PS5 games from the internal m.2 slot.

If you want big size, Western Digital Elements Portable External Hard Drive - USB 3.0, black, 2TB at $65. You can directly play PS4 games off it and also backup PS5 games to be installed onto internal storage when you want it.

Thanks for the share! For the external hard drive and playing ps4 games off it, will it affect performance much or its pretty much playable for basic games such as fighting games like tekken and MVC?

Loading times maybe longer on a Hard Disk compared to an SSD but gaming performance should not be affected. The game should load the game assets into memory already.

you could try the 2TB SN850 (with heatsink) which i’m using it now. i bought it on AmazonSG and it was between $300 and $303? usually, it’ll price around $400 and i don’t know whether it got drop below $300 or not. if you want to buy locally, it’s damn expensive 💀 and limited variations available…

i believe you need Amazon Prime to get this offer and what i did back then was to try their 30-days trial and cancelled upon expiry at no cost.

product-coverage wise, it has international warranty so need not to worry even though it was fulfilled by AmazonUS.

Anyone here got overcharged by Sony for the upgrading to PS Extra / Deluxe Tiers?

I got overcharged, then they sent me email to say they are refunding me the difference PLUS giving me SGD 15 credit. Took them a day to credit in the SGD 15, but I see it in my wallet now.

Sony admitted the was a technical error in calculation of the upgrade pricing and will be refunding the players.
