current offering and the technical aspects of it just seems to be 3rd grade and half-hearted from sony...

they ain't getting my money with half baked measures.

the emulation solutions i set up on my nvidia shield tv is already in order of magntitude better than whatever sony conjured up for their PS1 emulation solution.

I will wait for PS5 slim or pro then subscribe .lol.

Will never give in to scaplers nor let them profit 1 cent .

Xbone series x and 3 year game pass here I cum .

No, those redeemed free games requires active subscription to play. Unless you purchased the game outright from the store no active sub still playable.

The Lost Legacy vs Mile Morales.
Until Dawn vs Detroit become Human.

For longer open-world game, I would rather choose to buy and take my time to play.

Took deluxe on day 1, sort of regret cos there is so little games on classic. Should have gone for extra and upgrade only if there's better catalog.

Until Dawn vs Detroit become Human.

Detroit: Become Human is very good. In fact, should play the other Quantic Dreams games - Heavy Rain, Beyond 2 Souls - if available through the service. Even Fahrenheit if you've not played it.

Yup, that's the other versus I left out, Heavy Rain vs Beyond 2 Souls. They are under the Deluxe library right now.
Run through the Extra games first and if there're months left before my sub expire, i'll upgrade to Deluxe to play them.

I really enjoyed Heavy Rain. Detroit Become Human was good too but Beyond 2 Souls made me sleepy =p

Lost Legacy > Miles Morales

Until Dawn = Detroit imho.

First half of Until Dawn is really good.

The classics list is so short. Hopefully they will soon add in the true classic games which retro enthusiasts wanted. So disappointing when this is Deluxe's supposed selling point plus we already lose out on the PS3 catalog. It discourages me from subscribing.

I guess you can try to at least make use of the 2-hour game trials. PS Extra is pretty okay though, just spam gaming on those games.

For eg. If a new subscriber sign up for PS Plus Extra for just 1 month. Redeem/add to library all the games on Extra. Then let it expire after a month, without renewing.

After the previous subscription period has expired, rejoin the service on the cheaper Essential subscription for 1 year.

Are all the hundreds of previously claimed Extra games playable on an Essential subscription, or its locked out & require an active Extra subscription to access/download all those games?

Of course cannot work, without the extra or deluxe you don't get access to the catalog. Cause you don't own the games at all.

I believe you will have to maintain an active Extra/Deluxe subscription to access the respective PS4/PS5 games/classic catalogs. Else it may be abused; subscribe 1 month, download all, cancel and keep to play all - too good to be true. I read somewhere about it before.

Speaking of the access, it's important to note that some games maybe be delisted from the catalog in the future (they will announce beforehand) and you will no longer have access to it after that even with an active Extra/Deluxe subscription. So play while you want/can.
