something not related to $$..

how do you guys keep the annual financial statements/booklets sent to you or just throw away?
i'm just a small share holder and is only keeping the stocks for dividends.
feels wasteful to keep throwing those seemingly cost a bit of $ to print stuff away without even looking at them.

If you are not interested in reading the annual reports, you can request not to be send one. But frankly I doubt it makes a lot of difference. Cos the companies would probably have printed a fair number of hard copies for distribution to shareholders, analysts, media etc..

Actually these days many companies send their shareholders CDs of the annual reports by default. If you want the paper report, then you request it. This is good for the environment and cuts costs for the company = benefits all shareholders too. I'm an old-fashioned guy and I like glossy paper reports, but it's true that most of them are wasted.

I suppose your companies are not like that. If so, you should propose issuing CDs instead of paper copies to Investor Relations or at the AGM :)

It makes for good reading on the MRT too. :D

You like to carry heavy things when you go out. :D

I have to say, among the Reits, Suntec put the most pride in their annual reports. They even create themes, last year was symphony, this year its fine wine!

Yup. When I was reading suntec's report on the MRT, people must be thinking my hobby is drinking wine or I am in the business of selling wine. :s13:

There was one time when I was reading M1's report, then an uncle came to chat with me about M1. He told me he got 34 lots! :s22: he also said M1 is the best, dun buy Singtel and starhub. I told him I got all 3. He stared at me......:s8:

Since they declare DPU but there is no CD or XD this round, Do you get any dividend if you sell before the next XD?

Distribution given out semi annually... they will combine the distribution for q1 and q2 in the next quarter for distribution...

Disappointing results by Far East HTrust. DPU is 4.7% below forecast.

Perhaps the Far East management team were over optimistic with their forecast?

I thought such forecasts are made to be exceeded :D Doesn't reflect well on management, even if it's because the hotel industry is getting squeezed by lower room rates.
