It's only a small sampling... cannot be use to gauge how everyone is really doing.

I guess not really a general sample also. People who started more recently would be more inclined to key in. For people who invested very long already very troublesome leh. Over time it would become a better sample I guess.

1) those who doing well wouldnt mind showing their portfolio ba, those that very bad returns more inclined to keep it hidden maybe

2) a lot of ppl play penny stocks and kanna burn, they have no portfolio holdings, they just do short term trading... and yup most of them lose $$

i started in 2008, took like an hour to key all my long term trades in

however I agree that its very troublesome, but short term pain for long term gain ba

to be honest, i was quite lazy, i never key in my shorter term trades that I did in my earlier years

I only key in my long term trades... my net realised profits only shows 20k

if include all other trades net realised profits would be higher (lucky one de la) and my XIRR would be way higher too, but i think that would be inaccurately as I only want to measure myself in terms of my value investing... buying and hold for long term

Is there a way to input bonds into the portfolio? I realize I'm not able to do it. E.g, SSB
If not possible then I need to keep a spreadsheet elsewhere for those bonds. :)

I agree.....imagine someone like Warren Buffett who started decades ago.....might take a few days to key in all trades!!!:s22::s13:
