Buy via Vicker, Sell vis FSM

Someone in ST thread part II suggests to buy local stocks via Vickers (cash upfront) and sell via FSM.

FSM told me i can sell stocks thru them only if my CDP acct is linked to FSM.

CDP linkage is only to 1 broker ... so how can i buy via Vickers & sell via FSM?

Cdp should be able to link to multiple brokers

If you don't care about Custodian and intend to sell on FSM, might as well buy using FSM as the minimum for both Cash Upfront and FSM for buying is $10...You only buy using DBS Vickers Cash Upfront if you intend to have your shares held at CDP instead of a Custodian account...Also my CDP brokers account is linked to both FSM POEMS and DBS Vickers and soon will be to FSM...I got no problems with it...

Edit: Corrected the typo...

Vickers uses CDP. Problem is the selling, min $25, quite hard if trading just small amount

Great Singapore sale. Double down buy more as it falls

Will be adding even more when market indices are halved from their record.. and even more at every 10% interval. 50%,60%,70%,80%,(though very unlikely 90%, in which i may have Left my 12 months emergency funds and deploy cpf should that happen)

Glad I am not over invested :)

That's why people recommend using DBS Vickers Cash Upfront since the commission is 0.12% or minimum $10 which is almost the same or even lower than some other Custodian held brokers...

If it is in your CDP, you can sell it with another broker...There is no need for you to stick to only one broker... Opening a trading account with a broker is mostly free anyway...No harm opening account and utilizing promotion from all the brokers available...

Yea dont see price meaning dont chase after the bottom of market!!!

Price go up and down also buy. Up the amount but continue regular Dca every month

Macham same same but different
When you do regular dca already not seeing price

Moral of story just buy!!!

Fortunately have a lot of war chest reserves...

You can use ur warchest to increase your investment amount. But dont use your warchest just because the price is lower. Low can always to lower.

Perfect example is those who unload warchest at $50 iwda. Look at where the price is now.

No one is unloading all their warchest money...People are doing it in batches, if it drop to a certain price, you buy let's say 10%, if it drop to another price, you buy another 10% or so...No one is unloading 100% warchest at $50...That is the most dumbest example anyone can come up with...

warren buffett invested a pile into delta air just when it dipped slightly, he's so confident it won't go bankrupt? has he lost his midas touch?

That particular bet is looking a little brave at this point.

Yes, it's only a minor side bet for Berkshire Hathaway.

if the fed is lending out cash at unprecedented levels at close to zero, can't banks just loan them out to all systematically affected industries/companies who otherwise are profitable during normal times?

First, ask yourself which are the unaffected industries not affected by corona-virus?

Then, ask yourself do you think just the few unaffected industries can absorb all the money are used to be loan to all the other affected industries?

While Fed can be lending out cash at unprecedented levels, who is going to borrow? And can Fed's cash kill the corona-virus world-wide?

So you see, corona-virus is the problem that cannot be killed by Fed's massive cash throwing, so expect a prolonged and historically most terrible global recession if there is no vaccine and no cure for corona-virus in another 3 months.
