No agent even contact me. They just process the form and I got the service agreement. But since I just signed up last week and only received the service agreement recently, still can call in to change without fees?

Sim only will start on wednesday

thats why i post in this thread...

said they cannot do anything as the order is still "processing"

have to wait til day of activation on wednesday and told to call again

dont know if she trying to smoke me or make me call on day on activation so i will be charged with esim fees but can only see what happens
Suggest try to speak to another CS to verify if its true.
You wouldn't want to be charged for ST's eSIM charges. :s13:

https://www.singtel.com/personal/mobile/services/postpaid-esim
"You can buy a Singtel eSIM online! Simply choose your desired phone plan and select "eSIM" as the SIM type during checkout.
If this is your first time getting an eSIM with us (new number, port-in, recontract), we’re waiving the fee as a token of our appreciation.
If your contract has not ended but you want to switch to an eSIM, this will incur a nominal fee of $10.90.

From what I see, eSIM request should have been done during the registration process in order for the charge to be waived. At this point, they still can't decide if they'd want to waive since it's already been a week passed, so asked to call later. And there's going to be a possibility that by later, another CSO might end up saying "too late" and charge.

Otherwise it looks rather strange to me that they can't do anything now, since it's "still processing". Can't do, or don't want to do? Or "different departments" not communicating?

Agreed thus, suggesting to get another CS to assist..
Big corps always do not communicate within each dept.

Just to share my experience for anyone who is thinking of signing up.

I signed up for SingTel $15.28 5G plan via their webpage yesterday morning and received their contract this morning.

My XO Plus 72 (CIS) ends on 11 Feb 2025 and this new SIM Only plan starts the same day.

It's confirmed 5G access too.

SIM Only plan

  • 150GB of data
  • 1,000 mins Talktime
  • 500 SMS
  • FREE 3x UnlimitedRoam Neighbours 14 days to Malaysia, Indonesia and Thailand worth $60
  • FREE 12 months of Caller ID
  • FREE 12 months of 5G access

$15.28/mth

Hi, is this promo still on going? Or just one day promo?

just sharing, for those that need/wants to change sim card after re contracting the $15/$20 plan, can try to walk in to nearest singtel exclusive retailer to ask/request for change of sim card, besides singtel shop self serve kiosk.

I just changed mine just now at tiong bahru plaza singtel exclusive retailer.

My wife and MIL are currently on GOMO $22.69 5G plan.

I intend to port over to Singtel $40 SIM only plan for 1 month and then subscribe to Singtel $15.28 plan for 12 months.

My aim is to save the costs difference. Any gotcha with this plan?

Most likely this will not work. You may have to finish 12 month (or a bit earlier) in order to get the recontract offer.

The previous loophole was through free one month SingTel eSIM trial, but that seems no longer working.

In other words, once you take on any of Singtel's plans, they'll not let you off without $$$ for 12 months.

Correct me if I'm wrong. 👌

No, the new SIM only plans on SingTel website are without contract but more expensive, minimum at S$40 per month.
https://www.singtel.com/personal/mobile/plans/sim-only

But the S$15.28 per month or S$20.37 per month Singtel SIM Only recontract offer are special, they are only for existing users who have finished minimum subscription period (12 month for SIM only but often a bit shorter, 24 months for other plans).

Last time there were a few people who were willing to pay higher price for 12 months SingTel SIM only plans to exchange for future good recontract offer from SingTel.
