Singtel is getting worse over the years, reception is spotty with multiple deadzones in mrt commute, from 5g to no reception while travelling red line

How did u sign up via "app"? Thought must sign up via link provided here unless they give u targeted offer

Mine is same as urs but didn't receive any recontract offer at all

Also, does anyone know after one year, can you usually renew the same plan that u have or do they have right to remove it? So one year from now, possible that cannot renew at $15

That is possible. The offer contents may change.

So far the about S$20 per month offers (now at S$20.37 per month) have always there, at least since 2019. But this S$15.28 per month offer is new so we need to wait until the end of 2025 to know whether it will still be there or not.

Did anyone receive the code for 3x free roaming. Not sure when and how they will send it.

it’s transparent to us on the phone status bar, won’t display 5G+ on Android and iOS?

Singtel and GOMO website sign up for 5G plan now advertise as 5G+ plan.

I can see 5G+ sign on my Poco X4 GT phone (5G SA connection, now at home, Jurong West Area, near to Jurong Point).

No idea which 5G band being used though.

From the Singtel announcement, I tend to think all Singtel 5G connection will be known as 5G+, no matter you are using the 700MHz band or not. :ROFLMAO:

https://www.singtel.com/about-us/me...hes-first-deployment-of-spectrum-in-singapore
Singapore, 07 February 2025 – Singtel today announced that it is the first telco in Singapore to deploy 700 MHz spectrum, further boosting its 5G coverage nationwide. With this enhancement, Singtel’s 5G will be known as Singtel 5G+, and feature increased signal strengths of up to 40% in high-rise indoor and underground spaces, as well as in remote areas across Singapore. The low frequency spectrum can cover more ground with fewer towers, bolstering network reliability, essential for enterprises that require always-on connectivity for their operations or consumers who want to make video calls or stream content at these locations.

BTW, I do not normally take train other than the regular trip on Saturday afternoon from Boon Lay to Clementi. It seems to me SingTel 5G SA coverage is getting better for this portion of the MRT line, getting 5G SA all the way today (also IPv6).

I used to have weak connection in Clementi MRT station.

Doubt it will stay, likely just to recapture market share.
Then the $20/mth plan will be the baseline plan to retain customers.

Of course, its my assumption since ST is not known to bring down their prices and such plans likely have specific objective or KPI.
No free lunch on ST. :s13:

usually after u finish 1 year contract for sim only, what will happen to the price?

say u on $20 plan, 1 year over, will they allow to continue the plan at same price or they do things like upping the price if u dont contact them for recontract?
