I guess I am missing out on this.

Do you both mean you manage to kickstart early your new $15/mth plan 12 mths contract? Even before your previous $32/mth Razor mouse plan completes full 12 mths (suppose to end in June 2025)?

I haven't receive any invitation offer from Singtel leh.. :(

I applied through Xiaofan’s link four months before my contract ended but was rejected. Then, two months before the contract was up, I received an SMS offer from Singtel—and I accepted it immediately.

agreed, somehow the prepaid is better than postpaid...... then the cheapest 5G is at $15 lol
like doesn't make sense to go for their $15.28 plan with 12 month contract plan.... :censored:

Mobile network in tunnel & MRT should be all common backbone due to limited infrastructure coverage. So maybe all around the same.
But there should be some level of priorities for outdoor network or malls.

With 5G splicing, Singtel can do more by having different "layers" . So i think Singtel would probably give it's own customer base better network.
To me, it's more like they will now segregate line quality more openly to those who pay for their higher priced plans. We cheapo sim only subscribers will probably be treated same grade as MVNO from now on. Maybe just slightly higher..

Personally, i dont think Sim Only will be treated the same as MVNOs. Based on what I have read on SingTel website, Post paid plans will be either 5G+ Priority or 5G+ enhanced (from August 2025). Gomo will likely be only 5G+. The other MVNOs that piggyback Singtel will likely be just 5G without the plus? Thats my guess on how the tiering should work. Have to wait for August 2025 to see how this evolves.

Those Priority and Enhanced have standalone plans on their own. Our regular sim only <$30 plans should only be getting plain Jane 5G+. Or more like deprioritise at peak crowd..

Yep i recontracted early.

I just checked the FAQ. They have listed down the eligible plans for the 5G+ Enhanced. The $15.28/mth plan is a different SIM Only plan? Or rather, SingTel has other variations of SIM Only Plans apart from the 4 plans that are listed on the SIM Only plan section of their website?

25. 5G+ Enhanced

25.1 What is 5G+ Enhanced? 5G+ Enhanced is an upcoming product with expected launch from August 2025 and allows customers to enjoy the following Mobile Line benefits in Clause 25.3 ('5G+ Enhanced Benefits').

25.2 Eligibility. Subscribers will need to have a compatible mobile device and/or SIM Card to enjoy the full suite of 5G+ Enhanced Benefits.

Customers on the Mobile Plans set out below ('Eligible Plan') are automatically entitled to a free subscription to 5G+ Enhanced, and shall be responsible for disabling 5G+ Enhanced if they wish to do so:
XS / S / M Phone Plan, SIM Only Lite / Core Plan

These are their latest sim only no contract plans which are very different from the sim only plus 12 mths contracted plans we signed up for.

i see! thanks for sharing. I checked around and noted that the 15.28/mth plan is the older SOP30 plan. Seems different from the SIM Only Core and Lite plans now.

For those atas classes, paying these bills are like coins for them so that doesn't matter.
I don't belong to the atas class, my family's income is hopelessly near middle class.

I do understand that different people have different priorities. For me, rather than spending through the roof for Grab or a family car to save travel time, I prefer the MRT and leisurely surf Tiktok and YouTube.

The costs of 2x or 4x Singtel network slice is probably miniscule compared to a faster mode of transport.

i went shop to recontract $15.28 plan, there is admin fees $10.90
i observe they will add-on for free 12 month, then after that charge on 13th month. Basically discourage people from porting out.

i have chat with the staff.... many complains singtel plan expensive. he said they port out and port back to singtel after sometimes. lol

frankly speaking, singtel got the best coverage..... just the price expensive. sigh. :(
