To assess LTE/5G signal strength on an iPhone.

Turn off Wifi
Dial *3001#12345#*

1. Understanding dBm:
  • dBm is a logarithmic unit of measurement, meaning each 3 dB increase represents a doubling of the signal power.
  • The typical range for cell signal strength is between -110 dBm and -30 dBm.
  • A negative dBm value closer to zero is better. For instance, -60 dBm is better than -90 dBm.
2. Signal Strength Interpretation:
  • Excellent: -50 dBm to -70 dBm (4-5 bars).
  • Good: -70 dBm to -85 dBm (3-4 bars).
  • Weak: -85 dBm to -100 dBm (1-2 bars).
  • Poor: Below -100 dBm (0-1 bar).
The SNR is also important. Higher the better.

Actually you already met the prerequisite condition by being an existing subscriber, why not just try if not under any contract?
I tried to recontract to this plan using their chat agent but was denied.....has anyone successfully recontract their current SOP to the 15 dollars one by signing up via the link? They offered me exactly the same benefits but at 20plus dollars. 😞

Why don't you just go ahead to submit your applicant for the $15 plan? They can either accept or reject you, nothing to lose since you've already tried coz their chat agent. Just go submit.

Yup, I recontracted end of July via the link. Earlier plan was also SOP @ SGD25

Just to clarify, means you can get any no-contract SIM-only from here (e.g. cheapest at $40 monthly), wait 1 month, and then next month port out to this $15 SIM-only plan?

Thank you in advance!
Im currently with singtel XO Plus 72 Plan contract expiring on 22 Aug 2025. Can I NOW apply to $15 SIM-only plan ? or should I apply after 22 Aug 2025?
