@dgeralds your contract left like 2 weeks, how much can be the penalty? Check your contract and see worth it or not if they really accept you recontracting with penalty? If not, just hope it is still available and apply through the link after your current contract ended for a peace of mind.

I did mine like 2 months before. Friend did earlier than that and got rejected, so tried again a couple of weeks later upon my advice, and succeeded.

I've given up on their WhatsApp CSOs and ai sirly, so no comment about the penalty threat/warning.

Just renew to the $15.28/mth SIM ONLY plan, previously was using the $20.48/mth. I send in the request early despite my plan officially end on 9 Oct 2025 but SingTel approve it. Next year around this period which is the 10th month will try again if there is better deal.

Was at Raffles Place for NDP celebration last night and my $15 SOP was buttery smooth. 95% SA 5% NSA. Can upload download social media stuffs easily and no buffer. Didn't get their video express pass this time round. On other hand, my secondary line on eight telecom went dead like no signal lol.

We cheapo SOP 5G+ users are not missing out 'priority' at all...

I managed to recontract $15.28/mth plan for 12 months. Like you will try for better deals after 10 months or so!

Can someone tell me how does Singtel NETWORK LOCK works? My understanding is NETWORK LOCK is in Singtel app while DATA ROAMING SWITCH is in android. Is NETWORK LOCK is fool proof that I wouldn't be charged for roaming when it is locked?

Network lock is to lock into Singtel's preferred roaming partner when you are already overseas, so that it does not roam to non ST partners and charge you extra, the activation of data roam however is different, the option on the app and on your phone is up to you to decide if you want to activate. Not related to network lock.

2nd question, is your ST and Eight on the same phone? if yes, just switch to the active mobile plan on your phone for the specified country when travelling, i.e. ST while in Malaysia and then Eight for others. Nothing rocket science.

Yes ST and Eight on same phone. Recently went to Nepal and used Simba (had ST and Simba in same phone). I did not use ST and did not network lock ST and I was charged $500+ (before negotiating down to $30)....I don't want to happen the same in future..
