New URL Link for $20.37 sim-only plan, just to share with everyone here

https://www.singtel.com/personal/products-services/mobile/eform/simonlyoffer

Benefits as per below:

- Everything same as your plan number 4, but sole difference of being strictly better with 50GB Malaysia roaming, instead of no roaming
- Also exactly same plan as your plan number 2, but sole difference of being strictly better with upsized 50GB Malaysia roaming, instead of 6GB roaming
- Also exactly same plan as your plan number 1, but sole difference at $20.37, instead of $15.28

So this new URL link is probably the 2nd-best plan available now, in case signing up for the best plan ($15.28, with 50GB Malaysia roaming) plan fail for whatever reason

Thanks a lot for the link. I have updated the previous post and add this link,

Exactly.

Back when I was using only ST and M1, the year's contract stuck out like a sore thumb. With M1 I could call in anytime whenever I came across a better offer, and they'd just let me switch over. Changed to Maxx mainly to save $ coz it's my secondary number, but a nice one that i spotted at an M1 Shop and again, only had to call in to change number FOC.

Main line got switched to Simba after connection sucked and finally, also to save cost.

Thankfully M1 works for me since Day 1, and Simba smoothened over the recent year or so. And strangely, ST started acting up over the past couple of years.
12-month contract still a bit of an eye sore.
Yes, missed out on this fact.
ST still stuck to their old ways of doing business as evident from the how they market their products. :s13:

Honestly singtel is just capitalizing off ageing population and people that are just unaware of what they actually need.

Eg elderly couple signing up for a 10gbps fibre plan when they just need 500mbps.

I only recently discovered my mother in law was still using some $59 fibre plan because she didn't recontract and didn't even know the plan expired.

Maybe someone could make a business out of door knocking these homes and getting $10 for every successful signup/conversion from a legacy plan.

It all depends on your expectations.

To me S$15.28 Singtel SIM Only is a good plan to keep and I do not mind 12 months contract, in fact, 24 months contract is okay as well -- to save the hassle of renew next year.

You can see so many users here try different method to jump into this plan. And many people keep asking whether it is possible to sign up as a new user or port-in. That shows the plan is perceived to have good values by many users.

Yes, converting them to better deals is much more ethical and generates goodwill, brand name & loyalty that yields better results.
As our beloved Temasek says, companies need to have CSR, not just full on capitalism mode for future sustainability.
As SG ages, we will have more of such situations where companies choose the easy way out to generate profit at all cost without any consideration for their customers, environments etc. ☹️

Indeed this is a very bad practice from Singtel.

That is why I started the thread here to compare ISP offerings. I usually recommend new users to sign up M1/Starhub Fibre Broadband and not Singtel. Not SIMBA either. VQ/MR only for power users.

I agree on the point that if it's fixed for 12/24 months for users like yourself, it saves the hassle.
But why not just have it permenant without contract if they are able to provide such a good value. Customers will choose to definitely stay if the value is great too ain't it.
If one were to missed out on the renewals, hike in charges come into play and that's what Singtel is eyeing for it seems.

I do not believe your last sentence is true. Occassionally I will forget recontract for Singtel SIM Only by a few days but then Singtel will pro-rate the charges, so in the end it is not too bad.

Many users are complaining that the ISPs do not value existing customers and only care for new users. In this paticular case, you can see Singtel is offering good values to existing Singtel SIM Only users and not to new customers.

Take note I have different opinions about Singtel consumer Mobile business (pretty decent value if you talk about the S$15.28 recontract offer or the previous S$20.37 per month recontract offer) versus Singtel consumer Fibre Internet business (not good value).

Yes, ignorance is most definitely not a bliss. Some broadband users, instead of upgrading their 10 year dinosaur Singtel router to an affordable SGD 200 wifi 7 router, took the easy route of Singtel 10gbps broadband. They mistook top of the line product from a branded company for quality assurance.

3 years back, when wifi 7/10gbps is not prevalent, I told a distraughted IT sales professional with poor wifi that, to solve her wifi issue, wifi 6 router on 1gbps broadband is more than enough for whole family use. She's glad she tried. The knowledge gap in IT is tremendous.

Yes, totally agree. I compare Gomo, which uses Singtel mobile network, against, Whizcomms, which uses Singtel fiber network.

If you want Singtel mobile network, please subscribe to Singtel directly as the cost penalty compared to Gomo is not high. Gomo customer service totally cannot make it.

If you want Singtel fiber network, Whizcomms' a reasonable choice. They're affordable and have a human on their website to answer your question.

Yeah. I agree. But I have concerns of being tied in also. Overall, I’m okay with Singtel (MNO). They have resolved my number not being able to receive calls under some circumstances

In the sense that those that never go and cancel all those bundled deals will kena such hike in charges after the intiial 12mths promo period.
Yes, Singtel will provide waiver if within a close timeframe of contract expiry.

personally, im also fine with the 12 mths contract, but not 24 mths contract though, cause with so many mvnos around, pple will not want to be tied down for 2 years.

and i also agree with u that without contract will be a sweet deal, and if ST can lower the recontract price to like say $12 or $10, will be bestest liao :s13:
