Beware, don't be the next victim:
The offers are exclusive for existing Singtel Mobile customers who have completed their Minimum Subscription
Period. The offers are not transferable and are valid only for the person whose mobile number is targeted.

The above rules are enforced by Singtel. But you can ignore the "targeted" word. Usually they will accept the order even if you have not received the SMS/Email/Postal offer, as long as you are an existing Singtel Mobile postpaid customer (SIM Only or non SIM Only, not Gomo or Heya).

dear experts...can i get your advices...if i take CIS sim only PLUS plan...use for two months and can sign back recontract? Since their CIS sim only plan doesn't have contracts. all their sim cis plans showed as "

Get 10% OFF on no contract SIM Only plans.

I saw recontract plans are cheaper..I want to change to this after 3rd month...

Good try. This is a grey area now since the new Singtel SIM Only plans on the websites are all no-contrace based (CIS or non-CIS).

Non-CIS Singtel SIM Only Plan
https://www.singtel.com/personal/mobile/plans/sim-only

But I tend to believe your order will be rejected. It depends on the definition of "Minimum Subscription Period", usually that means 12 month (but can be earlier if Singtel sends you the recontract offer earlier) for SIM Only plans and 24 months for non SIM-only plans.

You can always try and see if Singtel accepts your order or not then tell the forum users the outcome. You can choose to go with the following two options if your order got rejected.
1) You can cancel the no-contract Singtel SIM Only plan. Not losing much in this case.
2) You can also continue with the more expensive plan for 12 months and later you can still get the good recontract offer. There are quite a few users are going this route.

There are a few users who sign up the following Singtel eSIM trial (one month free) and then managed to sign up the S$20.37 per month SIM Only recontract offer. YMMV.
https://www.singtel.com/personal/products-services/mobile/eform/sop-esim

60GB of 5G data
100 mins outgoing talktime/SMS
Unlimited incoming talktime
FREE Caller ID

Your free trial ends in 1 month. Love it or leave it - the choice is yours. If you decide to keep your Singtel eSIM, stay subscribed at just $30.56/mth.

Sharing some news, just did the 1 month trial 3 weeks ago, yesterday signed up the $20 plan. Success and received service agreement today.
Was yours a new number or port-in?

I wonder if this works when porting in existing number to the 1-month trial, then renew to the $23 plan…

Just sharing another incident involving my Singtel line that I believe everyone should take caution on when travelling.

Recently I travelled to Taiwan. So just like everyone else, I've purchased a separate data-only travel eSIM plan for my travel mobile data needs. I don't intend to have any data roaming on my Singtel line (for obvious reasons).

On departure day, I activated my travel esim beforehand, turned on data roaming on phone setting, but also made sure to default mobile data to use this travel eSIM instead of Singtel SIM before reaching Taiwan so I won't incur any unnecessary, expensive data roaming charges on my line. And I also purposely went into Singtel app's roaming page to see what else I need to set away. Couldnt find anything amiss.

Then when I reached Taiwan and disabled my airplane mode, I received this shocking SMS:

9BcII8l.jpeg

Thinking I have already purposely set to use my travel eSIM by default so why am I still incurring data roaming charge to my Singtel line?

Opening up Singtel App greeted me with a rude awakening:

qQgAwKv.jpeg

Hysterically incurred $74 data roaming charges out of thin air?

Then I went straight following SMS link and found this:

Y6Mj1oI.jpeg

Which was defaulted to switch ON back then. This is where all the puzzle fits together.

Apart from phone's own data roaming toggle, you still need to additionally turn off this manually in order to fully turn off data roaming!

As such, I believe I was accidentally charged for that split second of transient data roaming usage as I disabled my phone's airplane mode and Singtel network ownself tries to connect to Taiwan's local data roaming network (despite me already defaulted phone's mobile data setting to use travel eSIM data and not to use Singtel SIM card's data) while my travel eSIM line also did the same to connect to network proper.

To highlight, that particular Data Roaming toggle on SingTel app is parked on settings page rather than within the roaming page menu.

And when I read further, Singtel's Pay-As-U-Roam is charging a whopping $25/MB of usage . Peeps so this is how I began my Taiwan trip.

Right now I am in the midst of escalating this dispute to Singtel and hopefully they will issue a full waiver on it.

Peeps who are on SingTel line and travelling soon, please ensure to take additional precaution to turn off data roaming toggle on BOTH your phone and Singtel's app.

Then again, Singtel should comes clear:

1. Why is there another data roaming toggle in the first place?
2. Why is it also turned on by default without any caution? Even with phone settings they are always off by default to prevent any unnecessary charges with caution when turning on too.
3. And why is it also not parked together with your other roaming menu and rather parked separately under settings in its own menu?
Nov update:

After convo with chat agent last month, I was told to refer to latest bill once received for this mth to escalate the issue again.

So I approach chat agent today and was offered this initially:

GwsauJl.jpeg

Kinda pissed off at the audacity that they still want to force and charge me on their alternative roaming plan and I declined their offer.

I reasoned out with him and agent receded eventually and approved my full waiver without charge thereafter.

If you guys ever face similar offer for whatsoever bill spike situation, please do not give in and stick to your stance.

I was given an OTP to reply agent for the waiver to kick in but was reminded that waiver won't reflect in revised bill this mth and will reflect only on Pay Bill amount. Subsequently, my bill amt was reduced accordingly. Not sure if itemised waiver will reflect in next mth's bill but I will take note of it and update you guys again.

Just a gentle reminder for all Singtel lines subscribers to turn off your data roaming on both phone and Singtel app > Settings before you takeoff from SG to avoid facing such trouble that I've walked through. (y)

Kena PAYR for calls instead, CS kept insisting that only partial waiver and decided to accept since too cumbersome with the back and forth...

You received calls from SG or?

singtel staff suggested to enable ‘barring services for international incoming voice’ to avoid fees when people call while you’re overseas. however even after enabling i have received calls while overseas but there are no connection fee or any other fees charged

Ahhh, as I was thinking since activated barring, can try answering to find out whether will be still charged.
Yes, the fees are exorbitant for just a quick call...

does anyone know if you sign up for the $20 sim only plan, will you be given another 500mb data only card?

currently my singtel postpaid combo plan is given this 500mb data only card in additional to my main sim card but I wonder if I will lose access to it if I recontract to this $20 sim only plan

also, what's the earliest that ppl managed to recontract to $20 sim only plan while they are under previous contract?

is it 2 months? so if ur current contract end in 28 feb, then u can recontract 2 months prior? i.e. 28 Dec
