CL got the following promo code :
$9.90 for 1year - 5G 0.98TB w 8GB roaming PRT1TB990OO3YK/PRT1TB9904T84Q
$6.50 "forever" - 4G 1TB, no roaming PRT1TB65096PE3.
I was tempted to go with CL 9.90 plan but really don't use that much local data, went with ST MVNOs and Maxx instead was a more logical choice for me.

Just ported to SingTel from SIMBA, but not receiving SMS. Usually how long does it take for SMS to port over? Data is ok
Faced the same problem(for banks' smses) during the first few days after porting over. After that all ok.

Did you check if you get 5G SA connection?

If 5G NSA, then I don't see 5G+ either.
yep, its usually on SA connection when im at home, outside/outdoor area, inside shopping mall. only inside mrt under tunnel then will drop to NSA, some indoor area like hospital also drop to NSA.

i do observed that inside mrt under tunnel, priority plus plan will always connect to SA, nv saw it drop to NSA before...

yeah guess so, but albeit at a much slower speed than NSA...
I guess that's the trade off. Did you also happen to check if it's the n28 700MHz band?

Because I researched that n28 improves coverage but also reduces speed. Because it is a low frequency channel

Somehow still cannot beat the old SpeedTest result two years ago with my Poco X4 GT.

I will change to Poco X7 Pro this evening.

I called Singtel to ask about the free Priority Plus plan tryout. Those who have existing services with them, the charge in the bill will become credit for the upcoming bills.

Those who do not will have to call in and get the credit refunded.

Yea I called in to confirm too, Singtel's helpful CSO (from bill department, not just general helpdesk) explained to me the following.

There is no need for the trial customer to pay ANYTHING for the Singtel trial, even if the bill is already generated and there are supposedly incurred charges stated for the trial plan. You can just totally ignore the charges for the trial plan (please do however pay for whatever other lines/services you have with Singtel, as per normal).

How it works is that -
Singtel will generate your very next upcoming bill such that there will be a credit of exactly X amount to your account, so that the X amount of fees (generated from most recent bill) and X amount of credit (to be generated from upcoming bill) meant for the trial plan will cancel itself out. Thus, you don't need to pay anything in the end for the trial.

Singtel also confirms that ignoring the trial plan charges won't affect anything, including your other ongoing lines/services with Singtel if you have any.

Just to share all the above, if it helps anyone here understand the charges/bill for the trial plan better.

Poco X7 Pro WiFi vs 5G Mobile, at home, Jurong West Area, Pioneer SMC, HDB flat.

Speed is one thing, latency may be more important.

Just for reference for those who want to use 5G Mobile to replace Fibre Broadband plans. I understand some users are okay with using 5G Mobile or even 4G Mobile as the replacement for Fibre Broadband to save some money.

1) WiFi 6, 4m away from Asus TUF-BE6500 router

Singtel ping is really unstable even with 5G SA. Quite surprising.

Whereas on StarHub, I get 15ms ping almost anywhere with connection or basically non-ulu places.

ST is like driving a porsche but to get to changi, you go from jurong to Yishun then go changi. Speed is there but the hops (latency) not good. SH speed not good like driving a chery but direct from Jurong to Changi lo. :ROFLMAO:

Make sense. Fiber still has its merits in terms of latency and the wide difference on upload speed. Still good for transfers and hosting. In case fiber goes down. Mobile still can backup and vice versa.
