ST is like driving a porsche but to get to changi, you go from jurong to Yishun then go changi. Speed is there but the hops (latency) not good. SH speed not good like driving a chery but direct from Jurong to Changi lo. :ROFLMAO:
So need to subscribe to 5G+ priority (highest tier) plan to get uninterrupted low latency high speed data 😄?

Singtel S$15.28 per month SIM Only Plus plan, Poco X7 Pro, no 5G+ (5G SA) at the underground Circle Line Platform in Buona Vista MRT station, only 5G NSA.

Same 5G NSA in the lifts of Buona Vista MRT station, no 5G SA, but at least it does not drop to 4G LTE.

If this is in the lift, then is good enough

Botanic Garden Station Bus Stop 41021, above the ground, finally got Singtel 5G SA connection (phone status shows 5G+ as well).

Just now I was getting only 5G NSA connection, inside the Botanic Garden MRT station, including the deeply deeply under the ground Down Town line platform.

Same 5G NSA connection when taking Circle Line MRT from Buona Vista to Botanic Garden. No 5G SA connection, but not dropping to 4G LTE either.

I feel Singtel 5G coverage is not bad for today's MRT journey on a Saturday afternoon, from Boon Lay MRT to Buona Vista MRT (East West Line), and then from Buona Vista to Botanic Garden (Circle Line). I got either 5G NSA or 5G SA connection across the board.

However, it is not ready for pure 5G SA, still need 5G NSA at quite some places.

Singtel ping is really unstable even with 5G SA. Quite surprising.

Whereas on StarHub, I get 15ms ping almost anywhere with connection or basically non-ulu places.

Hmm, are you talking about idle latency or latency under stress (when carrying out OOkla Speedtest)?

I tend to think you will not get 15 ms latency with the OOkla Speedtest using 5G, especially during Download test at higher speed.

Another example from M1 Maxx thread

M1 Maxx 5G
Idle latency at 22 ms
Latency during Download (high speed) at 380 ms
Latency during Upload (low speed) at 28 ms

SIMBA 5G (pretty lousy 5G)
Idle latency at 14 ms
Latency during Download at 1349 ms, even at pretty low speed of 77.10 Mbps
Latency during Upload at 370 ms

If/when they merge...?

One more example from @kashix who shows a supersonic download speedtest result using M1 5G. You can see latency increases a lot to 311 ms during the fast OOkla Download test.

Idle latency at 14 ms,
Latency during Download test (very fast speed) at 311 ms,
Latency during Upload test (slower speed) at 29 ms.

Ba la ba ba ba, I’m loving it ~

Just did a quick Google search and the following is the fastest Mobile download speed in this forum. Please correct me if I am wrong. Thanks.

He was using Zym 5G NSA (Singtel MVNO) for the test.

Unfortunately no latency test results were shown. And based on the discussions, Zym is not very good for latency.

IMHO.
My new record for Zym 5G.

If I compare the above results, all big three SingTel/StarHub/M1 have similar idle latency, latency will all increase during fast OOkla Download SpeedTest.

Still M1 seems to have the lowest latency during OOkla Upload SpeedTest.

I think we will need more data to compare the latency.

For International websites, then the International routing which involves the backend infrastructure may play a big part.

SingTel may be worst among the big three for many International sites based on the reports from SingTel Fibre Internet users, even though the routing of SingTel Mobile Services may not be exactly the same as SingTel Fibre Internet services.

Above the ground, SingTel 5G SA coverage seems to be pretty good based my long Bus 154 trip today (on a Saturday afternoon), from Botanic Garden Bus Stop 41021 to Boon Lay Bus Interchange inside Jurong Point Shopping Centre.

I did not carry out any OOkla SpeedTests, but I could see my phone status showing 5G+ (5G SA) across the one hour seven minutes journey, from 3:19 pm to 4:26 pm.

Using the following to enable the VoNR option for my Xiaomi Poco X7 Pro, but then I can only see VoLTE in the phone status bar, along with 5G+ (5G SA), not VoNR.

I guess VoNR is not supported by SingTel yet, right? Or this is the phone limitation under SingTel Mobile network?

If on WiFi, VoWiFi is shown in the status bar, if I change the setting to "Prefer Wi-FI" from the default "Prefer mobile networks" for the SIM Card's "Network preferences" options.

Does the POCO X7 Pro support VoNR?
https://www.mi.com/global/support/faq/details/KA-529424/

VoNR is turned off on the POCO X7 Pro by default. It can be turned on when your carrier supports it. Similar to VoLTE (Voice over 4G networks), VoNR is a voice call technology based on 5G networks, designed to provide a higher quality voice call experience. VoNR achieves lower latency and better voice clarity over 5G networks, while supporting higher bandwidth data transmission.
To enable VoNR, please refer to the following steps:
1. Enter *#*#8667#*#* on the phone’s dial, then your device will display the VoNR option;
2. Go to [Settings];
3. Tap [Mobile networks];
4. Select the SIM card that you want to use the VoNR;
5. Enable the [Use VoNR] option.

Note:
VoNR is not widely used at present, and in some areas, the voice call function of the 5G network is still being gradually deployed. Most devices and carriers will still give priority to using VoLTE technology for calls before there is sufficient 5G voice coverage.

I think VoNR could be device dependent, my S25 Ultra shows Vo5G (VoNR) after updating the firmware to Android 16 (One UI 8).
